I love surrealism. I love being an artist. I love being artsy fartsy.

I recently rediscovered my love for surrealism. Dalí and René being obvious inspiration and a few of my favorite painters, inspired me to explore the idea of reality and something just not feeling “right”. I’m excited to see how I start to implement surrealism on set of my shoots! Like the idea of creating an “optical illusion” irl is like ahhhh lmao.

So in the meantime here’s me exploring surrealism in post on an old photo.

Story time! This is one of my favorite images. Also yall are making me blush with all this love!

It’s already so hard for me to choose images to post on social media, so maybe I’ll just post singles of my favorite of each look. Idk 🤷🏾‍♀️, but story behind this image, whenever I photograph people I try to imitate the pose I’m looking for, and encourage people to just move your body. The moment you start to “think” about posing is when it doesn’t look that good ✋🏾😮‍💨🤚🏾 don’t shoot the messenger.

But anyways I was telling Na’Jeen “you keep moving and I will follow your lead”, once we got to the floor was when things got interesting. We looked over the mood board and I look at her with the most innocent eyes and say, “don’t hate me but can we try this pose and really enjoy just making shapes with your body” and bada bop boom pow, we get this masterpiece 🥹

TLDR; I really like making shapes of the body and encourage people to move freely when I shoot.
