I am happy to share with you all this very exciting news about my participation in the 11th Edition of CONTEMPORARY VENICE 2022, international exhibition of photography, painting, video art, installation/sculpture and performance art, organized by Itsliquid Group.

It is currently being held in Venice, Italy, at Palazzo Bembo, a prestigious venue and historical building, from October 21 to November 10, 2022.

August 9, 2020.- Around one thousand Mapuche people from four points of Wallmapu, Mapuche territory, marched against anti-mapuche institutional racism and in support of the Mapuche Political Prisoners who are carrying out a hunger strike day 99, in Angol, Temuco and Lebu. This in response to the brutal violence many Mapuche people suffered about a week ago, when Several Mapuche men and women were beaten by no-Mapuche individuals with the apparent support of the local police itself. During that cruel action of racial discrimination Mapuche men and women received insults and racial slurs, which was televised nationwide. Here are the latest images I took in Temuco, Chile / Wallmapu during the March in support of an incarcelated Mapuche spitiritual leader, Machi Celestino Cordova and Mapuche political prisoners currently carrying out a hunger strike of almost 90 days. This march was led my a Mapuche female leader who is one of the spokeswomen of Machi Celestino. Check them out!

Wednesday July 22, 2020 / Nueva Imperial, Chile/ Wallmapu

I covered the march that aimed at supporting Machi Celestino Cordova, a Mapuche incarcerated spiritual leader currently on a hunger strike. Yesterday, day 80, he started a dry hunger strike as a last resort to convince the Chilean government to apply ILO Convention 169, ratified by the State of Chile more than 10 years ago. His health is seriously deteriorated, but he continues to request changes to the prison conditions for indigenous peoples, especially now during the pandemic. .

"March For the Spirituality meant to support incarcelated Mapuche spiritual leader's hunger strike day 64. Spokeswomxn Giovanna Tabilo and Cristina Romo Peralta along with his wife led the march.

His hunger strike aims at convincing authorities to respect National and International laws and Treaties such as ILO Convention 169, articles 7, 8, 9 & 10, and the United Nations Declaration on the Rights of Indigenous Peoples.
