Winter has arrived in New York and taken the city by storm. The wind has claimed the streets and most people stay inside, Seamless becoming their best friend. But if you do venture outside, New York is, as always, magical. And we did.

It's about to be winter and just now fall has arrived in the city. New York just doesn't care about rules, it seems. Central Park has been strutting her most beautiful dress and I've been going out and trying to capture some of it. I have to admit that my attempts have not been successful yet, but that doesn't keep me from trying again. As Walt Whitman said: "There is no place like it, no place with an atom of its glory, pride, and exultancy."

One of my favourite things is getting to meet new people that I never would have met if I didn't see the world through my lens a lot of the time. There are so many beautiful and great people in the world and you never know who you pass by on the street that might have been a friend in different circumstances. Last week I got to run around in Central Park with some amazing people in even more amazing costumes, here's some of the pictures that happened.

I always have a hard time describing the beauty of this city, the uniqueness, the charm and why I love she has taken my heart by storm. Usually I end up borrowing other people's word, I find myself googling "new york quotes" and stupidly grinning at my computer while I read them.
Tonight it's just me and the Empire and the lights that make everything seem a little more magical. Even now that I'm in my apartment I can hear her quietly breathing, every once in a while interrupted by a siren, letting me know that this is New York after all.

First in this (hopefully long) series, we met up with F Michael for an interview. F starred in Wicked on Broadway (Boq), Off-Broadway in Jasper, Dogfight, Carrie and We The People and played his music at 54 Below, and on youtube, duh (youtube.com/SongsintheKeyofF). It was a privilege getting to meet him, talk to him and a stupidly good time :) Thanks, F!
