🎡: Sunset Park Annual 5th Ave Festival

Year 3

Rain or shine Sunset Park will always show up! I remember the excitement I’d have counting down the days until the end of Summer Festival when I was a kid! Now that same excitement runs within me but for many other reasons!

I wasn’t just documenting a festival, I was documenting a piece of home.

The rhythmic music. The delicious scents of Caribbean and Latin food. The mixed families. The many diverse traditions. The subtle laughter. The healing energy!

All the little pieces of culture and heritage that make Sunset Park so special. 🙏🏽

Being able to capture these moments and share them with the world means more to me than I can put into words.

This is Sunset Park. This is home! ❤️

👑 From the celebration to the laughter, dancing, and memories made throughout the night, this Sweet 16 was a beautiful one to be a part of!

What made this one a little more special for me was being able to capture the daughter of a childhood friend. There’s something really special about watching someone you’ve known for years reach these milestones and getting to be the person behind the camera to preserve it 🫶🏽

A beautiful dress.
A beautiful celebration.
A room full of people who love her.
And memories she’ll be able to look back on for years to come 📸

This is why I love what I do. Sixteen only happens once but the memories should last forever! ✨

From growing up in Sunset Park to coming back with a camera in hand 📸🗽

I’ve had the privilege of photographing Sunset Park’s NYPD National Night Out year after year, and every time it feels a little more special.

This is home.

It’s a neighborhood built on community, culture, small businesses, and the people who keep it moving. Getting to work with the organizations and businesses that make this place tick is something I’m genuinely proud of.

Photography has taken me a lot of places but there’s something special about being able to bring it back home.

Whether it’s a community event, a brand, a business, or a milestone worth remembering, your story deserves to be captured with intention ✨

💍 it was a regular Monday afternoon when the phone began to ring! Not thinking anything of it I picked it up, little did I know an excited nervous babbling Jacob Urena would be on the other line. Full of joy and eagerness Jacob couldn’t wait to let me know that he was ready to Propose but one thing was missing THE PLAN!

We began with a basic details and over weeks of conversing back and forth it blossomed into a full blown plan. Jacob landed on his dream proposal site and idea now it was simply time for ex*****on!

I want to thank Jacob Urena & Nicole 🧿 for allowing/trusting me to capture such a special day! The love was transparent and could be felt all throughout the venue. I wish you all nothing but the best and look forward to Wedding Day 📸
