48 hours before this was taken, Achille talked to me about what he went through last year, and sent me a few images of what he wanted from his shoot. Typically I need more time to plan, but because we’ve shot before and knowing him for a few years now, it’s a breeze to work with him.

And as soon as we jumped into the studio, and we played his favorite music. He got into the mood, and I understood what I wanted to capture for him. Wanted to capture his tenacious spirit, that big creative soul, his resilience to the year he had.
