I didn’t really consider that vulnerability would also mean being more honest about what I need from people.

I’ve gotten so used to understanding where everyone else is coming from that sometimes I end up dismissing how I feel in the process. And I think it’s easier to be understanding when you don’t have to risk disappointing anyone.

There’s also something vulnerable about speaking up for yourself, especially when you don’t know how the other person will respond.

I still want to be someone who makes people feel safe enough to be themselves. I just want to feel that same safety in being myself around them.

That's the kind of vulnerability I’m trying to learn now.

We often mistake vulnerability for weakness because it can look like a lack of protection, but nature shows us something different.

Like an infant's skull, the layer beneath a tree's bark, or when leaves start to fall. These are not signs that something is failing.

These are signs that living things adapt and make room for growth.

Life moves so fast that we either distract ourselves or we always have to be doing something in order to feel that life is moving forward.

But oftentimes, we forget to sit with our own thoughts.

And that’s where the Tagalog word munimuni comes in.

It basically means to ponder, or to get deeply lost in thought.

It creates room to notice what has been lingering underneath everything that’s been happening in our lives.

Ironically, sometimes the most productive thing we can do is finally sit with our thoughts and listen to what our minds have been trying to tell us.

It’s kind of meaningful to have a word for looking inward.

To reflect, or to simply walk alongside your thoughts for a while.

And I think munimuni encompasses that.

Filipino culture values resilience. We’re often taught to keep going despite what’s happening around us.

But sometimes, that can leave us with less time to sit with our emotions, understand them, or even reflect on what we’ve been carrying.

And because of that, it can become easy to always stay in motion.

The concept of munimuni reminds us that there can be a moment to simply stop and understand what’s happening within us.

And I think, we just need enough time alone to be honest with ourselves

And I guess when you’re filming your life, you’re not only showing exactly what happened, but also how it felt to you.

Was it a dreamy experience for you, or did everything feel a little less vibrant that day?

These small details can help you express yourself more through the way you edit. And Dehancer can help you achieve that.

Being emotional was never the same thing as being irrational.

We’re often taught that logic means control, while emotion means weakness. But emotions are part of how we process what is happening around us and recognize when something matters.

They can act as signals before we even have the words to explain what we’re feeling.

Emotional awareness and logic can exist at the same time. One doesn’t have to cancel out the other. Both can give us important information about what’s happening and how we choose to respond.

09/13/2026

Being emotional doesn’t automatically mean something negative.

Emotions can also be information. It is a tool to help us check in with ourselves and to know what we might be needing in that moment.

Being aware of our emotions should be understanding them enough to know when to sit with them and when to let them pass.
