1:11am 1/21/19 🤓Inside The Umbra🗣 so the red is the result of our gravity bending the sun’s light around the “Right side” of the earth and the yellow is the sun rising/bending it’s light around the “Left side of earth” The white area on top shows the true color of the moon as it leaves the shadow of the earth and regains direct sunlight when the eclipse starts to end. The “Umbra” is the shadow caused by the earth from the sun’s light. At 300mm this is roughly ten times zoomed from an average iPhone camera, it’s very hard to get perfect focus especially when the most important piece of light (which allows better focusing) is being blocked by the earth🙃 • Nikon D5500 300mm f8 iso200 and a lousy 1.3s

Unfortunately the cold had me taking these from inside a moving car (no foregrounds ) but the new cam is getting more familiar every day, and it’s nice to be back in the city to start 2019. Happy new year, it’s definitely looking to be one of the best💡

Finally got the true ‘raw’ files from the holidays to upload off my new Z6 ... Nikon really did it right with their first mirrorless cameras and it’s been very exciting getting used to it the past month. This is my uncle Kevin, somewhat knowingly help me get this crispy portrait look figured out, I chose the split shadow look but I think he could make a GQ cover right?? On this page I’m trying to only show the crispiest and highest quality images so get ready for many more to come! 🙂📊
