Thrilled to announce that we are partnered with the family of noted avant garde photographer/filmmaker/poet Ira Cohen to digitally preserve and bring to the public his truly unique body of work from the 1960s, '70s and '80s.

was a colleage of and worked alongside other noted avant garde artists of the 1960's and '70s such as . Cohen created a truly unique series of portrait photographs of major artists of that era including . They are referred to as Cohen's "Mylar Photographs" based upon Cohen's inventive use of sheets of mylar as part of his technique in taking these unusual portraits, which are works of art as a result of this technique that Cohen pioneered.

The original manuscripts of Cohen's poetry now reside in the Yale University's Rare Book and Manuscript Library.
