I love photographing people, especially weddings. I consider myself to be a fine arts photographer, capturing moments in an artistic, timeless manor. In my spare time, I also love to travel and go on adventures.

When you look back, so much of your wedding day starts to blur.

You might remember certain moments so clearly:

how you felt getting ready, the look you exchanged when you first saw each other, the emotion of the ceremony and the moment everyone finally let loose.

Others start to fade a bit…

We photograph with that in mind.

Photographing the more guided parts of the day matters (like a first look, family groupings, the wedding party). And so do the reactions, the in-between moments and the parts of the day no one could have planned.

For us, the point isn’t to choreograph every moment or photograph, it’s to preserve the day honestly as it flowed. To capture the whirlwind of joy, vulnerability, love and gratitude as they happen.

A wedding feels different when it happens somewhere already filled with family memories—summer dinners al fresco, birthday celebrations under the stars.

For Haley and Chris, her grandmother’s garden wasn’t just a beautiful setting. It was a place connected to family, history and the people they love.

That gave the entire day a sense of belonging, of being known and at home that was so unique and special. You could feel it in their energy, in the way they looked at each other.

Years from now, these photographs will hold more than how the day looked—they’ll bring them back to what it felt like to be with the people they love most in one of their favorite places on earth.

We’re so excited to host our first day of mini photo sessions in New York this fall! 📸 🤍

If it’s been a while since we’ve photographed you, we’d love to see you again.

And if we haven’t met yet, we’d love to photograph you for the first time.

Here are the details:

When: Monday, Oct. 12 (Rain date: Wednesday, Oct. 14)

Where: Fire Island Lighthouse beach (Field 5)

Each session is 30 minutes, with light guidance from us and plenty of space for you to have fun and simply be together. You’ll come away with photographs that capture your family just as you are right now, in this particular season of life.

There’s a difference between being guided and being posed.

Heather and I will step in when you need direction, then give you room to settle into the moment and be yourselves.

We might find the best light, make a small adjustment or give you something simple to focus on. From there, we let the two of you take over.

The goal is not to manufacture a moment.

It’s to create enough space for a real one to happen.

Because beautiful photographs should still feel like you.

Sometimes there’s this unspoken pressure to “perform” on your wedding day.

To be the most relaxed, photogenic, perfectly composed version of yourself all day (gah!).

The thing is, you’re allowed to feel nervous. Emotional. Giddy. Overwhelmed.

It’s all just part of the beautiful whirlwind of getting married.

Our job is to guide when guidance is helpful, create space when you need to breathe and photograph the day honestly as it unfolds.

The most meaningful images usually come when you give yourself permission to let go of trying to “do it right” and simply let yourself be in the moment.

That’s where the real magic is.
