Hi everyone! I started this page as a place to share my art work with others. Over the last few years I have been making and selling numerous projects including stationary sets, paintings, photographs, string art decorations, and barn quilt blocks. I first discovered my passion for art after losing my great grandma, who was an artist. Shortly after that, I experimented with different art supplies and began this business, Kate Rogers Art. Because of these, experiences have grown and have even had the opportunity to sell my art at the Missouri State Fair through a 4-H program. More recently, I have sold my art at the local level through FFA as well. In the future I hope to expand my small business and include other forms of artwork.
I have always enjoyed working with younger kids that like art as well. Within 4-H I have had the chance to led a project class where I showed others how to make barn quilt blocks. I have really enjoyed these experiences and look forward to helping younger students growing in their artistic skills.
Lat year I had the opportunity to sell my barn quilts at the Missouri State Fair through 4-H. While there, I was also exhibiting my show pigs in the swine barn. The barn is over 100 years old and was being remodeled. Because of this, I wanted to somehow help improve the barn and leave my mark, so I gave one of my barn quilt blocks to the swine barn office and to this day it is on the front of the building. I hope one day you visit the Missouri State Fair and the swine barn to see this barn quilt block.
Over the last couple years, I have been experimenting with photography. Because of this, I submitted a photograph into the My Missouri 2021 Missouri Bicentennial Photo contest.
