Introduction

Blaise Hayward was born in Canada and moved to New York in 1996 to pursue a career in Photography. Known for his high-energy, enthusiasm, and passion, Blaise has the ability to create and photograph a moment of unique connection with people. His experience over the years has allowed him to shoot a diverse range of subjects from Fortune 500 CEOʼs, to patients living with HIV.
“I ingratiate myself to each individual, put them at ease and make them feel really good about themselves. This is not something I do consciously, it comes naturally to me. It is part of my personality. If someone happens to be apprehensive or uneasy in front of the camera, I sense an opportunity, not a challenge and do not let the spontaneity of the moment go unrecorded. Blaise recently made his directorial debut, shooting a PSA for the NY State Anti-Drug Coalition. Blaise currently lives in New York City with his wife and two young children.

It’s happening! After years of hard work by myself and my team WORLD TOUR - Tickets to 100 Iconic Concerts is in the home stretch and will be published by Rizzoli in March 2027. Here is a preview of the cover. It’s an amazing book, containing 101 iconic concert tickets, spanning over 50 years and including 15 countries. These beautifully photographed tickets are accompanied by informative and fascinating text meticulously researched and written with thought and care. Early, early still life. Toronto, mid to late 80’s. I think I might have just seen my first Irving Penn show at Jane Corkin’s gallery and my photographic life was changed forever. He is still in my mind the GOAT. I was still renovating and assisting at the time and these bottles came out of the ground right under my feet. The brother Pajkovic were renovating one of their homes on Pears Avenue and I grabbed every bottle we came across, completely enthralled. To me they were just so interesting and beautiful. I set up my Sinar 4x5 in my studio and got to work. As I look at it now I would change a few things but I appreciate my old work for what it is and was. I was learning the craft and I still am all these years later.

RIP Dolly and I hope you had a good flight. You must be in Heaven by now, where you truly belong. You were always thinking of others and were so generous with your time and resources, helping those less fortunate and making a real difference in so many people’s lives. You are a true inspiration and right now, the world and especially America need more people like you. I hope you are playing a tune for the late great Jimmy Carter, who I know was a fan and friend and like you gave tirelessly of his time, energy and compassion. This ticket is part of my Tickets Please project and will be included in my upcoming book World Tour - Tickets to 100 Iconic concerts, being published by Rizzoli in March 2027.

After years of hard work, a box of 100 match prints have been sent via fed to the printer. My designer transmitted the 14+ gig folder of images over the weekend and on Monday they will get to work printing the first set of proofs. I personally wrote all 100 entries of corresponding copy and enjoyed the experience very much. I have a new found and deep respect for the art of writing. I learned a great deal about these artists and it reminded me again of the immense talent that will be on display in this book. It is truly awe inspiring. The video gives you a quick sneak peek of the some of the artists who will be featured but it does not do justice to how incredibly beautiful this book is going to be. I look forward to sharing further updates before the book is published in March of 2027. Thank you to every who has contributed to this amazing project.
