Seal 🦭
On my way to Magdalena Island from Punta Arenas (Chile) to see some penguins, our little boat got some attention from other local animals. The first was a fully mature adult seagull who crashed right on my lap after he lost control of his wings (he’s ok). And the second was this little guy who tried to hitch a ride with us… (he didn’t-but also ok).

Iceland Reflections 🇮🇸
I always try to plan my shots in advance. I research the place, google map it, look at other photos - but sometimes you can’t predict what shots you’ll find by just stoping your car on the side of the road and walk for 5 minutes.

In the middle of nowhere, south of Chile.
Not every border crossing take a few minutes. This one between Chile and Argentina took me about 3 days of traveling through in the wilderness, and it included a full day horse ride. And yes, it was very painful riding a wild horse, but what a view!

The Moon, Space.
Today marks another important day in history as we continue to make progress in our quest to conquer the outer limits. The Moon is thought to have formed about 4.51 billion years ago, not long after Earth.
Because the moon is very far away every time you look at it you see it how it was 1.3 seconds ago (because light travels fast, but not that fast). Sort of looking into the past...
Though I haven’t been to the moon, it is definitely on my bucket list, and yes, I did take this photo while in Iceland.

New York City sunset timelapse during quarantine.
No matter how long I’ve been living in the city for, I always find myself inspired by it. Time and time again I find new spots and ways to photograph it.
This big thing I noticed in this timelapse is that there are practically no airplanes in the skies due to the times we live in - which is crazy for a city like this. Question: do you want longer time lapses?

Laguna Esmerelda, Ushuaia, Argentina.
This was my first lagoon visit in my trip to South America and I got to go there with . It wasn’t easy to get to... before iPhones and other tourists that went there they just told us - “go in this direction till you get there” and for some reason we did... and luckily we got there and it was worth it. It’s not that bad to have a place like this to yourself...

Iguazu Falls, Brazil/Argentina.
(This photo was taken from the Brazil side).
Formed as a result of a volcanic eruption, two thirds of these falls are in Argentina and the other third in Brazil (and maybe a little bit in Paraguay) . They are taller than and twice as wide as Niagara Falls (up to 269 feet!!). There are somewhere in between 150-300 falls at any given time, and in 2011 it was declared one of the 7 wonders of the world!
It was a very fun and humid trip.

Los Angeles, California.
At a certain point a photographer only looks at life as a one giant moving picture, and every moment a frame. A real frustration I have is when I see an amazing frame but don’t have my camera. Especially when I’m driving in a car, and I see an amazing frame that I want to capture, but the car already moved from the spot and I didn’t have my camera anyway... I mean this is really annoying.
Luckily, once in a blue moon, all the stars align, and you see that frame and you also have the camera ready to go. (The faded lines in the middle are from the car’s back windshield).

Aletsch Glacier, Switzerland.
This is my 4th glacier experience and it doesn’t get old. There is something very relaxing about looking at a desert made of ice that expands forever (especially from a birds eye view).
You can find this beautiful view from the top of mount Junfraujoch - “The Top of Europe”.

Vancouver, BC, Canada.
Even though I was excited to travel to Vancouver, the closer I got to the trip the more I started to worry. My photo research was going nowhere. I looked online, googled mapped, asked people, and didn’t come up with any great shot I wanted to take. The city looked both very pretty, but overall boring... so I had to leave it all to chance, challenging myself to come up with one good photo. And finally one day before I was about to go back home, I was both in the right place at the right time (and in BC also in the right weather).
Sometimes you can’t prep, and you got to let the photo find you, best thing you can do is be ready with your camera 📷
(Pro tip: definitely eat sushi while you’re there!)
