If youâre new here.. we wanted to share a little more about who we are, how we built our businesses and what inspires our work.
Weâre Peter & Marissa, the husband and wife team behind Peter & Marissa Photography and our creative rental space, Studio 405đ¤
We met studying TV & Film Production in college and originally started out in videography, eventually settling into television production as producers. At the time, Photography was our creative outlet, taking photos for family and friends on the side while balancing our careers in media.
Two years ago, after getting married, we decided to take photography more seriously as a passion project. What started as something we loved doing together slowly turned into something much bigger.
When Marissa lost her production job, it inspired her to leave the corporate world and go all-in on photography, while building something of our own. That journey led to the creation of Studio 405, our photography & event studio in Bedford Hills, NY.
Today, Marissa runs most of the day-to-day operations of both businesses while Peter continues working full-time as a TV news producer. Youâll still see him behind the camera on many of our weekend shoots.
We live on the Upper East Side, where we do a majority of our sessions, but Marissa is from Long Island and Peter is from Westchester- which means weâre constantly traveling between the city, Westchester, Long Island, and Studio 405 for shoots.
This January, we welcomed our son, Nico, into the world! He has become our little muse when weâre not working with clients, and one of the biggest reasons this career pivot means so much to us. Photography has given us the opportunity to build a life where we can raise our family while doing work we genuinely love.
One of the most rewarding parts of this journey has been growing alongside our clients. Weâve photographed engagements, weddings, pregnancies, newborns, birthdays and watched so many families grow over the years. Being trusted to document those memories is an honor we hold very close to our hearts.
Weâre so grateful youâre here đ¤
