Fun fact: alpacas are really sweet and cute, but they absolutely will spit at you if you don’t bring them treats. Thankfully Jackie & Will both have great reflexes and were spared being showered! They sure made for great photos and a fun story to tell for years to come 🦙

Grace & Austin had 2 wishes for their wedding - to make it uniquely theirs, and to spend the day enjoying their time with their favorite people. They warned me that they were not comfortable in front of a camera and said that photographing them might be a challenge. Well I’m happy to report they were so wrong! We spent the day prioritizing what was important to them and taking their cues on when to lean in to a moment and when to take a break. There were dancing time-outs to shake off any photo anxiety and we ended up having a blast! Grace & Austin’s love for each other and ease together was so obvious and beautiful. They made each other laugh all day and they had a lovely celebration with their friends and family. You really can’t ask for a better day than that!

The best way I can describe Amanda & Sean’s engagement session is Booktok meets JcPenney catalogue, but in the best ways. This couple warned me they were goofy and their love language was making each other laugh. Well this session was such a perfect representation of that. They were so comfortable together and I could feel the love & romance in those sweet little moments… and then Sean would pull a funny face or they’d want to do a silly pose and we’d all end up giggling together. I really loved Amanda giving Sean piggy back ride so nonchalantly that I almost missed the shot. It was such a fun easygoing session and I am so excited for their wedding next year!

To me, wedding photograph is so much more than pretty poses and well-directed romance. At my core, I’m a storyteller, and I really enjoy capturing the story of the day through photos. These shots are from Jackie & Will’s first look. Jackie was so nervous and Will (in his usual bubbly nature) was beyond excited to see her. His reaction was priceless! They decided to read private vows to each other, and played rock, paper, scissors to determine who went first. Jackie was overcome with emotions reading hers and the whole thing was just so sweet and heartwarming. It was the perfect start to really special day.

Julia & Dave’s wedding day was the perfect combination of love and joyful expression. Every single detail was well thought out and intentional. Their gorgeous style and amazing personalities showed up in every way, from where they chose to do their photos (iconic Asbury), to their incredibly personal ceremony and vows, to the beautiful table settings at their reception. And the best part is, all of that dulled in comparison to the main story - their intense love for each other. We could see it every time they looked at each other, touched or kissed, or made each other laugh uncontrollably. It was an honor to witness and absolute joy to capture 💕✨

True love is sitting on the bedroom floor in your wedding clothes, feeding each other snacks and literally grounding yourselves and taking in the moment before you walk down the aisle to say I Do! ❤️

All the elements of Jess & Candace’s wedding day really fit who they are as people. They chose to be surrounded by family and close friends, in nature (with Jess barefoot on the grass) and by incorporating their love of books and classic love stories into everything. Those details brought a really sweet and personal touch to the day.
