INSIDE THE SHOT ⚡️
Every photo we take has a story behind it - one you'll never see in the final image.
In this series, our photographers share the stories behind 3 of their favourite shots: what they noticed, what was happening in the room, and the small decisions that shaped the final image.
The lighting. The direction. The conversation that shifted everything. The moment it all came together.
Because a great headshot isn't just technical. It's human.

LOCAL LENS - LOQUI ⚡️

Just around the corner from our LA studio, LOQUI is serving up handmade tortillas, bold Mexican flavours and seriously good tacos.

Set in the heart of the Arts District, it’s all warm terracotta, outdoor seating and a laid-back atmosphere that makes it the perfect spot to stop for lunch after your session.

Our order? Tacos and guac, obviously. 🌮

HUMANS OF YELLOWBELLY ⚡

For Louis, acting has always been a source of joy, freedom, and a place where he could truly be himself.

Growing up in Birmingham, Louis often found himself standing out, navigating school as one of the only Black students in his class while also figuring out his own identity. Drama classes became a sanctuary - a space where he felt comfortable, accepted, and free from judgement.

Despite being told that acting wasn’t a realistic career and that he wouldn’t succeed, Louis held onto his passion. That stubbornness and belief in himself have helped him navigate rejection and keep pursuing the life he knew he wanted.

This is Louis. ⚡
