Aiguilles de Chabrières – French Alps

Aerial view of the Aiguilles de Chabrières at sunrise.
I’ve photographed these peaks many times, but always from below or from a distance. This was my first attempt at capturing them from above.
A beautiful sight near Ecrins National Park in the Hautes-Alpes, with the Dévoluy mountains and the Gap region visible in the distance.

On my way back from photographing another beautiful village, I couldn't resist making one last stop to capture the hilltop village of Ventavon in the warm evening light.
From above, the village reveals its spectacular setting, overlooking the vast Durance Valley and the surrounding Alps

Lavender Fields at Sunset - Provence - France

I miss one of my favorite lavender fields on the Valensole Plateau...
This year, it's still a wheat field. Over the years, many of the plateau's iconic lavender fields have been replaced by wheat or clary sage.
I'll keep coming back until the lavender returns.
