Tonight Nordstrom NYC + Nordstrom Seattle had our Holiday Parties! 🥂 I’ve always missed this event as I’m usually in Miami, but I delayed my flight to Florida tomorrow to finally see the result of our hard work. 💪🏽🎄🎁

In preschool, we went around the room and shared our favorite colors. After I said “pink,” my teacher rolled her eyes and condescendingly said “that’s every little girls favorite color, you’ll grow out of it.” Well, I never grew out of it and have an adorable pink kitchen, girly bedroom, endless accessories and clothes that would give Barbie a run for her money. 💅💕

Throughout my life I’ve been told I’d be taken more seriously if I didn’t have pink hair or dressed in neon colors instead of black/neutrals, but I can’t be anything other than me. Cheers to the girly girls out there. 🎀💪🏽

I want to shoutout some girls 💞 and who helped with making my condo all things pink, and her daughter Adeline for the motivational videos and who inspired me to make this video - she always lifts up others! 💪🏽

“Patrick permanently altered the arts community in Central Florida, not only through showcasing both established international artists and blossoming local talents, but also by pinning Orlando on the map as a thriving creative hub to invest in.”

Patrick Cyril Kahn, 68, the down-to-earth French curator known for a bright smile that reached his eyes, passed away in Orlando, Florida on April 10, 2025, after a 30 year battle with cancer. Born …

A Statement from Holly Kahn:

With deep sadness, we share that Patrick passed peacefully last night, surrounded with family and so much love. Patrick’s luminous spirit is now soaring — his courage and determination throughout this journey with cancer has been an example of grace and love. There is a beauty in the quiet strength he possessed. I am so proud of his courage, his ability to find peace in every moment of many difficult days, and years. You’d never know by his outward gentleness and positivity the challenges he endured. He was an extraordinary man, husband, father, son, brother, and friend, full of life and love. His immeasurable talent and influence will live on forever.

We know we’re not alone in our heartache. The outpouring of love and prayers we have felt and the way he was carried through this journey is what carries me now. I have so much more to say, to share. We’ll send news about Patrick’s celebration of life in the time ahead. We are taking time as a family, gaining our strength to share memories with you.

Patrick, you were and always will be the light in any room you fill. You chose to live this life in all its preciousness, always creating, always exploring, effortlessly cool, always one step ahead of the curve. Being your life’s partner has been the greatest gift. You lived every day to the fullest with your larger than life, genuine energy to be in the moment, soaking up all the magic this world has to offer. I will live that forward, our Juliette and Luke too. Still, our hearts are completely broken without you — our whole universe has shifted. We carry your heart in ours. Your bright light and generous spirit has made a difference in so many lives. I cherish every day, every moment, that I had with you. I love you forever, my beautiful Patrick. ♥️

One of the most impactful exhibitions I’ve seen is Nona Faustine’s “White Shoes” series. Shortly after I moved to NYC I went to her solo exhibiton at Smack Mellon and was in awe at what photography is capable of challenging and teaching.

Nona Faustine, whose provocative self-portraits exposed the 'true lives of Black women,' has died at 48.

I’ll be in Orlando this weekend for the closing exhibition. It is impossible to describe Snap! Orlando's impact on my career, management style and even personal life into simple words.

treat gallery would not have existed without Snap!, and my time at Foley Gallery would have never happened without your love, encouragement and passion. When I was interviewing for Foley, Patrick made it a point to contact Michael and recommend me for the director role, an opportunity that launched my career in incredible and unexpected ways.

Snap! is everything the art world should strive to be. Snap! taught me the value of community relations (skills I use in my everyday role at Nordstrom) and how to create opportunities when you see one. Patrick and Holly taught me so much, and I am forever grateful for their trust in the naive, unsure 23-year-old-me in 2010.

We love you so much Patrick Kahn & Holly Kahn. Thank you for your impact in Central Florida and beyond. Thank you for your standards, for making the art world better. Thank you for inspiring me to always aim higher and be better.

Because of you, everyday I celebrate the photograph. 📸❤️

Have you visited Nordstrom NYC this season? Earlier this month, my former student (and incredible photographer!) Analiese Swerdlin photographed me for a project within our store. Naturally, I'm in the Stella McCartney area on our Designer Floor. Wishing you and yours an upcoming year filled with Fashion and Fun!
