There's no getting around it. Solar Eclipse Fever is hotter than the weather and building! Here's a very cool NASA page where you can view the eclipse as you will see it from your location on August 21.You can run this application as a desktop app or as an online app as I did. It is very fun for all ages and scientific abilities. More about preparing to photograph the eclipse in coming days.

Did you know that the historic Gibson Island Clubhouse closed it's doors for the last time this past weekend? A completely new Clubhouse based on the original design will stand in it's place by this time next year. Chris and Laurie were invited to photograph the Old Clubhouse during it's last Christmas and Spring. A book of these photographs is available at http://www.blurb.com/b/6344238-gibson-island-clubhouse-1921-2015.

The Gibson Island Clubhouse featured in this book has served its members well since 1921. It is scheduled for demolition and complete replacement beginning in August 2015. During the anticipated year of construction, Clubhouse functions will relocate to the Boathouse. We hope this book will recall y…
