This year, I am celebrating more than another birthday. I am celebrating the woman I have become through every season that brought me here. I feel more grounded. More honest about what I need. More intentional about how I spend my time and where I place my energy. I have learned to appreciate the ordinary moments. The laughter in our home. The hugs that arrive right when I need them. The stability we are creating for our children. The quiet proof that the work we are doing within ourselves is changing what gets passed down.

And then there is the accomplishment with OZAIZ | Sustainable Home Decor This year, I watched an idea that lived inside me continue to grow into something real. I showed up fully for the brand even when the road felt uncertain. I placed OZAIZ in new rooms, on new shelves like Bloomingdale's Urban Outfitters Nordstrom Mathis Home and in front of new people. I met customers who connected with the meaning behind the work. I built relationships, took risks, learned hard lessons, and celebrated every order, opportunity, partnership, and person who believed in what I am creating.

There is still so much I want to accomplish, but today I am allowing myself to honor how far I have already come.

At 42, I am deeply thankful for this season of calm. Not because life is perfect, but because I feel steady within it. I am no longer rushing toward the next version of myself. I am learning to trust the woman I am right now. 🫶🏽

Two years with you, Shi. 🥹

It feels impossible to say that because I can still remember waiting for you. The anticipation. The wondering. The feeling that someone was on his way to us who already knew exactly where he belonged. And then you came.

Shiloh Amias. Our beloved messenger of peace.

I chose your name before I knew you, but somehow, it knew you before I did. Because peace is exactly what you brought with you.

You are almost always smiling, with that little giggle waiting right behind it. You are curious about everything. So observant. So quick. I love watching you realize that you know what’s going on now. Watching you study the people you love and figure out exactly where you fit.

And you fit here so completely.

You adore your brother. Everything Micah does is worth watching, following, and trying for yourself. You look up to him with your whole heart, while also making it very clear that somehow, YOU are still the one in charge.

You are my little twin in ways that go far beyond how much we look alike. I see myself in your spirit. In your personality. In the way you feel everything and still find a reason to smile. Sometimes I look at you and feel like I’m meeting another version of myself, only softer. Freer. Already knowing things it took me years to learn.

Two years ago, I wondered who you would be. Now I wonder how we ever existed without knowing you.

Shi Shi, I hope when you are older, you always know that you came into a family with a story already being written, but you were never an addition to the edges of it. You arrived and became part of its center. You made our love bigger. You gave us new ways to laugh, new reasons to slow down, and another beautiful way to understand what it means to be a family.

Happy 2nd birthday, my Shi-Ami
What a gift it is to know you.
What a privilege it is to be your Mama.
I love you beyond words. đź’™

Happy birthday, Micah and Amilia. 🦋

There has never been a version of your story where one exists without the other.

Micah, you don’t miss a beat. You notice everything. The tiny details everyone else walks past. You’re endlessly curious, always asking why, always wanting to understand how the world works and, more importantly, how people feel. Your heart amazes me. You feel so deeply. You’re an empath in every sense of the word, somehow understanding emotions far beyond your years. And you carry your sister with you so naturally.

Your Millie.🥹

Every butterfly is an invitation to look up. Every butterfly is, “Mama, it’s Millie.” You never question whether she’s with us. You already know.

And Amilia…

You continue to find your own ways of reminding us you’re here. This year, it’s been 11:11. Almost every single day, you find a way to catch my attention at exactly that moment. Sometimes it’s a clock. Sometimes it’s something I can’t explain. It’s become our quiet little conversation. And then there are the moments that make me smile because you have a way of showing up in the ordinary and making it feel extraordinary.

Your brother talks about you as if you’ve just stepped into the next room. And somehow, that feels exactly right.

I hope you both always know this. You were loved before we ever met you. You are loved every single day. And you will be loved for every day that follows.

Happy fourth birthday, my beautiful twins.

Thank you for choosing each other. Thank you for choosing us. We love you both more than words will ever be able to hold.

The first lesson motherhood taught me was letting go and I think it may be the hardest lesson I’ll learn.🦋

Letting go of control.
Letting go of who I thought I had to be.
Letting go of the idea that I would always know what to do.

Motherhood has taught me so much, but mostly it has softened me. It has shown me how to see the world through innocence, curiosity, and pure joy. Through tiny hands reaching for mine. Through laughter that interrupts the heaviness. Through ordinary moments that somehow become the ones I remember most.

Most days, I am figuring it out as I go.

But to my children, I am comfort.
I am safety.
I am home.
I am super mom.

And that will always leave me in awe.

To every mama in every season of mothering, the joyful season, the grieving season, the waiting season, the exhausted season, the rebuilding season, the season where you feel like you’re barely holding it together, I hope you know this:

You don’t have to be perfect to be deeply loved.
You don’t have to have all the answers to be exactly who they need. You are doing something sacred, even on the days that feel unseen.

Happy Mother’s Day! 💕

In partnership with Dropbox and the Misty Copeland Foundation, this intimate gathering brought together creative leaders shaping the cultural conversation around the Met Gala and beyond. More than a dinner, it became a space for dialogue, connection, and a deeper look at how creative work comes to life.

Inspired by costume as art, the evening explored structure, softness, movement, and intention through sculptural tablescapes, gathered fabric, melting candles, pearled anthuriums, broken dark chocolate, and lasered seating stones made for each guest.

Anchored by Misty Copeland’s voice and mission, it was a reminder of what happens when collaboration, representation, and purpose meet in one room. Some moments do not need to announce themselves. They simply unfold.
