The night before a wedding has its own kind of magic.

Dani and Matt gathered their closest people at Carmel Valley Ranch for a hoedown under the California sky. As Shabbat came to a close, the havdalah candle was lit, the spices were passed, and something shifted in the room… that quiet, sacred moment that marks the end of one thing and the beginning of another. And then the band kicked in, two friends stepped forward with their violins, and the whole night caught fire.

California light does something to people. It softens everything. It makes the candid moments look like they were planned and the planned moments look effortless. I fall in love with it every time we travel out there.

This was just the rehearsal dinner. The wedding hadn’t even started yet.

Emily and Louis at Crystal Plaza.

There was a point in my career where I was chasing everything. The dramatic shot, the perfect composition, the moment that would stop someone mid-scroll. And then something shifted.
I started looking for less. Simpler light. Quieter moments. The space between the big gestures. And that’s when photography started to make sense to me in a way it never had before. Turns out life works the same way. The more you strip back, the more you actually see.

To me editorial means something specific. It’s not candid and it’s not stiff. It’s somewhere in between… guided but never forced. A hand placement, a turn of the shoulder, a look held just long enough. Simple posing with intention. High contrast. Clean. The kind of image that feels like it belongs in a magazine but still looks like them.

Emily and Louis’s day had that quality all the way through. Great weather, incredible energy on the dance floor, and a couple who made every frame feel effortless.
That’s the kind of wedding that reminds me why simplicity is always the answer.

Congratulations Emily and Louis. 🤍

The New York Botanical Garden in full bloom. Naomi and William’s day had a softness to it that felt almost cinematic... perfect light, extraordinary florals, and two people completely at ease with each other.
Something I’ve been thinking about lately is what it really means to build something that lasts. Not just a style or an aesthetic, but a way of seeing. A standard that doesn’t waver depending on the day, the venue, or who’s holding the camera. When that vision is strong enough, it starts to live beyond you. It shows up in the people around you, in the way they approach a room, read the light, find the moment. That’s when you know you’ve built something real.
This wedding is a beautiful reminder of that.
And a special shoutout to Ariana for bringing this day together with such grace and intention. A planner who truly gets it makes everything feel effortless, and that energy shows in every frame.
Congratulations Naomi and William. 🤍

This one takes me back.

Emily and Rob at Hudson Loft – one of those weddings early in my career that reminded me exactly what kind of photographer I wanted to be. The editorial eye, the cinematic light, the raw space filled with candlelight and intention. I had a vision for what AKS would look like and this wedding was a piece of that proof.

Getting featured on at that stage meant a lot. It was validation that the aesthetic I was building… the storytelling approach, the commitment to a certain kind of image… was resonating beyond just the couples I was shooting for.

That editorial vision hasn’t changed. If anything it’s only gotten sharper. And this is just the beginning of the recognition I intend to earn.

Emma and Jason’s wedding felt like coming home.

Walking into a room full of familiar faces... couples I had photographed, families I had met at other simchas, people who had trusted me before and were now part of this day too. That doesn’t happen by accident. It happens when you’re in the middle of a real community, the kind that shows up for each other again and again.

The day itself was everything. Perfect weather, beautiful light, Adrian B’s decor setting the room on fire in the best way, Aaron Teitelbaum keeping the energy alive from the first song to the last. Emma was radiant. Jason never stopped smiling. And the whole thing had that feeling you can’t manufacture... warmth, joy, everyone exactly where they were supposed to be.

These are the weddings that remind me how lucky I am to do this.

Congratulations Emma and Jason. 🤍

The Florentine Gardens provided the perfect backdrop for Yarden & Joel, but their energy is what truly made these frames. They have that effortless, editorial chemistry that makes a photographer’s job feel less like work and more like art.

In my years documenting stories like this, I’ve realized that couples aren’t just looking for someone to hold a camera. They want a partner with a clear vision—someone who can communicate exactly what’s needed to get the shot, but who also knows how to keep the vibe light and fun so the moments feel real.

It’s about finding the balance between a curated look and a heartfelt experience. Yarden & Joel, thank you for trusting my vision and for being so much fun to capture.

Some weddings you photograph. Others you feel.

Alexandra and Andrew’s day at The Pierre was the second kind.

From the moment they saw each other, there was this ease between them. Warm, funny, completely themselves, and so genuinely smitten that the camera almost felt like a formality. Their vows made the room go quiet in the best way. And then the music started and it never really stopped.

The dance floor had that kind of energy you can’t manufacture. Family, friends, everyone together, everyone happy. The room was elegant in a way that only New York can pull off... flowers that took your breath away, light that fell exactly right, a celebration that felt like it had been building for years.

Walking away that night I kept thinking... I just shot a love story. Not a wedding. A love story. The kind you’d see in a movie set, except it was completely real and I had a front row seat.

Alexandra and Andrew, thank you for letting me be there. That one will stay with me. 🤍

Rebecca & Joe at Old Westbury Hebrew Congregation.

There is something quietly validating about being featured on … even when it’s just a slide in a carousel.

They put together a piece on what couples think costs the most versus what actually does, and my perspective was one they chose to include. That felt good.

But more than that, it’s a reminder of what this work actually is. What feels like one day to a couple is weeks of work behind the scenes. The shooting, the culling, the editing, the color, the story. Every image you receive has been touched more times than you know.

Rebecca and Joe trusted us with that process and I’m grateful. Their day at Old Westbury was stunning in every way.

Congratulations Rebecca & Joe. 🤍

These are the weddings I live for.

Amanda and Ryan at The Rockleigh. Color everywhere, in the best possible way. Florals that stopped you in your tracks, a room that felt designed rather than just decorated, and two people whose energy made every single moment feel worth documenting. They were joyful, they were present, and their family and guests matched every bit of that energy all night long.

When a wedding feels this alive, it’s usually because someone quietly made sure every detail landed exactly right. That was Lisa. The kind of planner who makes the whole day feel effortless without you ever seeing the work behind it. You can feel the difference.

Congratulations Amanda and Ryan. 🤍
