A really special stop in the Basque Country...and a definite highlight of the trip...getting to visit my great grandparents home.

It hasn’t been in our family since sometime after WWII, so being able to stand there, see it in person, and then look at old photos from back when it was in the family (last slide) felt pretty surreal.

Huge thank you to basquelanders for making this happen and for organizing such an incredible trip for all of us.

Mundaka and the Bay of Biscay. 💙

Mundaka is a small coastal fishing and surf town and is famous for having the best left in Europe. 🌊 I could easily live here :)

Puppy.

Puppy is a floral sculpture of a West Highland White Terrier created by Jeff Koons that stands outside the Guggenheim Museum Bilbao.

I’ve wanted to see Puppy for as long as I can remember, thanks to the Westie I grew up with. Seeing it in person lived up to every expectation. 💛

I had the chance to photograph Eli… a mom of five, business owner, and honestly just a pretty rad human all around … who’s built something really unique with .

The article, written by , focuses on her backstory and is definitely worth a read. Getting to capture her with her family (and her very cool Jeep) made this one especially fun.

She’s doing some really meaningful work around wilderness medicine and preparedness - definitely worth checking out!
