Second pregnancies deserve to be photographed just as much as the first.

What we love about this chapter is seeing the excitement of a family getting ready to welcome their newest. That anticipation of meeting the new baby while your family grows is an amazing feeling to photograph.

And talking about locations, Dumbo is and always will be one of our favorites. It has the perfect city views to give you that true NYC vibe.

Summer, we love you and we are ready for you.
Pier 3 in Brooklyn is one of our all time favorite spots: the sky, the water, the Manhattan skyline, the greenery. It’s just so perfect for family pictures! And this family is so Brooklyn! We have hundreds of photos of them on their bike. It was just perfect.🤩

What a dreamy newborn session, full of love and connection.
For SHK, this is what we look to document. Who your family is, right in your own space. Believe me, at some point you will move, and these photos will matter even more than you think. They become part of how you remember your family’s identity, exactly as it was in this home, at this time.

When New York shows up in Barcelona. 🚀
I photographed Lolo years ago at her concerts in Brooklyn. Now she has two little boys and lives in Barcelona, and this year I got to meet them. 😍
Some people stay in your life in the best way! Sooo good to see you Lolo! I’m looking forward to the next time.

Lately I’ve been getting asked by new moms a lot about baby products. What did I actually use? What’s worth it?

The culture around baby stuff is so consumerist. You end up with a nursery full of things you never touch.
So I wrote down what actually worked for us. Not a super long confusing registry list. Just the stuff we reached for every single day raising two kids in Brooklyn.

It’s honest. It’s short. And it’s all things I’d recommend to a friend. For example, a Polaroid camera! 😉 Instant photos are fun, we have them everywhere in the house. They feel more real than scrolling through thousands iPhone photos. 🤪

These two are going to be amazing parents. I can just tell.
They are so in love it feels contagious. The session was sweet, simple, natural; exactly who they are.
First time parents really do have an extra glow of excitement! Can’t wait to photograph their newborn session as well ☺️

How cool is it to be based in New York and also be here, in Sevilla, for this.
Last week was la Feria de Abril. Happy to share some photos of my daughter and her friends in their flamenco dresses, cotton candy, and that explosion of color everywhere that I love so much. This is the world my kids are growing up in, and I never take it for granted.
For Feria, think Coney Island, but with flamenco dresses, a lot more wine, and the whole city dancing Sevillanas on a loop for 7 days.

Cherry blossom season is my favorite time in New York. Central Park turns into something else entirely for a few weeks.
Our photographer Lucia was there on a perfect day with one of our favorite families.
We’ve been photographing them for years. Their oldest was a toddler when we first met. Then maternity, then newborn for their second girl. Now she’s a toddler running through the park too.
Getting to show up for all of it. That’s the part of this job that gets me every time.

This photo is in the Spring 2026 issue of ♥️, and I’m really proud to be part of it.
Heartful magazine celebrates what I believe family photography should be: real and beautiful connections of family moments. I’ve been photographing these girls since they were tiny. I know their energy, the way they interact, the faces they make. This photo happened in about two seconds and it’s one of my favorites from the session. How fun to see it now being part of a bigger group of cool family pictures from all over the world!
