Some weddings have a playlist that tells you everything. Billy Joel down the aisle, the Beatles for the first dance, a jazz trio during cocktail hour, and Prince making an appearance because Julia’s from Minnesota and that’s non-negotiable.

The Wainwright House in Rye gave the day a stately waterfront backdrop; Sound-side, with a coastal energy that could pass for New England without technically crossing the border. The night before, the whole crew gathered for a welcome dinner in downtown Rye, warm and cozy in a town that suited them perfectly.

Design was a major part of the story. Bold, bright patterns and color ran through the tablecloths and florals - nothing shy about any of it, and nothing that didn’t belong. The kind of palette that earns its place on a sunny day by the water.

Daniel kept everyone laughing all day. Julia soaked in every moment of it. Together they had a bubbly, easy chemistry that made the whole day feel light. Cocktail hour on the water, surrounded by their favorite people, not a moment they weren’t fully in it.

Lundy Farm sits miles down a dirt road south of the Catskills; sprawling, green, and quietly Italian in a way that's hard to explain until you're standing in it. It turned out to be exactly the right place for Jenna and Eli, two people who wanted nothing staged and nothing forced.

Eli was keeled over holding his knees at the first look. By the vows he was wiping his eyes so often that Jenna eventually asked to borrow his tissue. Eli's stepfather wrote and played an original song for the couple. It was the kind of moment that makes you put the camera down - then quickly remember not to.

Rachel and Nick are featured on Style Me Pretty, and the setting couldn’t have been more fitting.

Rachel’s childhood home is just around the corner from Blue Hill at Stone Barns. The morning started there, and the day never strayed far from that same warmth. Organic florals, a farm-driven menu by Chef Dan Barber, and two people who felt completely at home in every sense of the word.

It rained on their first date, and it rained at their wedding... Heather had thoughts about that.

It was 99% humidity through portraits, and then, exactly as Heather began her walk down the aisle, the rain arrived. She had seen this coming - not literally, but in the way that mattered. In her vows, she wove it in without missing a beat, a closing of a circle, an emblem of everything that had led them here. The ceremony didn’t stop for the weather; the weather just became part of it.

By cocktail hour, a full rainbow had stretched across the sky and every guest spilled outside to meet it.

Jim held court during his welcome speech - funny, warm, genuinely interesting to listen to. Heather carried the whole day with an unassuming grace that made everything around her feel easy. Together they moved through it all with a deep, quiet attentiveness to family and to each other that was impossible to miss.

Ryan and Katie came to Cedar Lakes Estate for a full weekend with the people they love most. When the ceremony arrived, their vows weren’t borrowed lines - they wrote them the way they live, showing up for each other in their own words.

The weekend unfolded exactly the way Cedar Lakes does it best: zip lines, canoes, welcome dinner, mountaintop portraits, a ketubah signing in the Glasshouse. Warm, unhurried, and built around people actually spending time together rather than moving through a schedule. That kind of ease doesn’t happen without intention behind it - credit to SociaLife Events for making a full weekend look effortless.

The sun broke through just in time for the ceremony. Tin Can Studios brought a floral language that felt completely native to the property, and the reception room glowed under a series of modern pendant lamps hung at varying heights over the tables - a detail that made the reception Barn feel intimate and gathered.

For Katie, this wasn’t unfamiliar ground. Her sister was married here too. For us, this was our third time documenting a legacy family at Cedar Lakes; a place that seems to hold onto the people who find it.

Some couples you photograph and some couples you just get to witness. This was the latter.

Julia and Demsas have been together long enough that their connection feels lived in — easy, comfortable, and still genuinely fun to be around. Nothing about the day felt rushed or rigid. Just two people, completely at home with each other, on a balmy Brooklyn summer night.

Some weddings mark the beginning. Denise and Antonio’s celebrated everything already in place - years together, a life built, and their daughter, who was very much part of the day.

A vineyard just outside Rome as the sun took its time going down. Aperitivo, long embraces, children weaving between tables, golden light settling over the vines.
Denise spent over a decade as a designer at Valentino. Antonio is a pediatric physical therapist who travels across Europe to work with children with special needs - someone whose warmth you register the moment you meet him. READYLUCK photographer Sasha has known Antonio for years, and being trusted to document this day meant something well beyond the work itself.

The most beautiful weddings aren’t always the grandest. They’re the ones where you can simply feel that the love was already there. This was one of those.
