Was bedeutet es zu spielen? 🎲
…so lautete in diesem Jahr das Thema des BFF-Förderpreis 2025/26. Zwölf Finalistinnen und Finalisten entwickelten über sechs Monate im Rahmen eines Mentoring-Programms ihre Konzepte zum Motto „Spielen". Aus diesen Arbeiten wählte die Jury vier Preisträger aus.

Das sind die ausgezeichneten jungen Talente und ihre Projekte:
🥇 E. Alejandro De Paoli Padilla überzeugte die Jury mit „According to the Dice / From an Inventory of 236 Objects" – eine Arbeit, die Zufall und Inventar in eine stille Form des Spiels verwandelt.

🥈 Malte B. Oing zeigt in „Playing Birthday Games (Alone)" einen zarten, leicht melancholischen Blick auf das Feiern allein – eine Erinnerung daran, dass Spielen nicht immer geteilt sein muss.

🥉 In „ROSA" untersucht Charly Krüger das Spiel als Identität – und fragt, wie Farben, Codes und Rollen prägen, wer wir sein dürfen.

🥉 Ebenfalls auf dem dritten Platz: Zerina Kaps mit „Der schwarze Kater" – eine poetische Serie über Aberglauben, Kindheit und die Spiele, die wir aus unseren Familien mitnehmen.

Während der Projektphase wurden die Artists von einem erfahrenen Mentor oder einer Mentorin begleitet und brachten eigene Perspektiven auf das Spielen ein, darunter Benedikt Burger, Marie Eberhardt, Theresa Maria Forthaus, Haben Ghebregziabher, Lara Habor, Jula Antonia Hack, Neela J. Keane und Zoe Linneweber.

Die Arbeiten sind noch bis zum 7. Juni beim Fotofestival »horizonte zingst« zu sehen und anschließend vom 3. Juli bis 27. September im Willy-Brandt-Haus in Berlin.

WhiteWall ist zum dritten Mal in Folge stolzer Hauptpartner der Ausstellung und hat die Arbeiten als Fine Art Prints und großformatige Drucke produziert, damit ihre Visionen so sichtbar werden, wie sie es verdienen.

What does it mean to play? 🎲
…that was this year's theme of the BFF-Förderpreis 2025/26. Twelve finalists developed their projects over six months of mentoring, all centered on the motif of „Spielen" – playing.

From these works, the jury selected four winners. These are the now award-winning young photographers and their concepts:

While working on their projects, each finalist was guided by an experienced mentor. All twelve finalists, including Benedikt Burger, Marie Eberhardt, Theresa Maria Forthaus, Haben Ghebregziabher, Lara Habor, Jula Antonia Hack, Neela J. Keane and Zoe Linneweber, brought their own perspective on what it means to play.

Their works are on display until June 7 at the Umweltfotofestival „horizonte zingst", and again from July 3 to September 27 at the Willy-Brandt-Haus in Berlin.

WhiteWall is proud to be the main partner of the exhibition for the third year in a row – producing many of the finalists' works as Fine Art Prints and large-format pieces, so their visions can be seen the way they deserve.
