(2/3) Long story longer, he hung out with us and had marvelous dinners for the week we were there, but I started to worry about what will happen to him when we leave. One thing that always concerns me is when I encounter friendly street cats, as they are more likely to get hurt by the wrong people.
I frantically started to look for local rescues, and got a response from who put me in touch with (who thankfully spoke English) and gave me the run down of the process of taking Paolito to the US.
Dr. Sandra put me in touch with who happens to be a cat rescuer within our resort and is the kindest and amazing person! Together we have decided to change Paolito’s life, vet him and send him over to the US to start a better life!
Paolito was picked up by Angela from this past Wednesday (just in time before the storm coming to the island tomorrow!). She got him to Dr. Sandra and she treated some bite wounds on his back and neutered him. She also tested him for FiV and FeLV. See next post for continuations of the story. Donation link in bio.
