I am pleased to be participating in this year's Portfolio Development Exhibition with photographs from my ongoing project, *Broadway: From Battery to Sleepy Hollow*. Through this long-term documentary project, I explore the people, architecture, and visual character of one of New York's most historic corridors.

Honored to share that these two photographs from my ongoing series Broadway: From Battery to Sleepy Hollow were selected for the upcoming Portfolio Development Project exhibition at Soho Photo Gallery.
The exhibition will run from June 15–21, with more details to come soon.
I am deeply grateful for the opportunity to continue developing this long-term body of work alongside such talented photographers, and especially thankful to Deborah Gilbert () for her mentorship, guidance, and continued support throughout this process.
These images reflect two very different emotional registers of Broadway and New York: spectacle and silence, performance and solitude, patriotism and atmosphere. Seeing them included in the exhibition is truly an honor.

Today’s fire response at 540 Main Street on Roosevelt Island. FDNY units responded to a fire reported on the 19th floor, bringing traffic on Main Street to a standstill for hours. The Q102 and Red Bus service were disrupted, and the subway was bypassing Roosevelt Island during the emergency response.
These are scenes from the island today as firefighters, EMS, and emergency crews worked the situation.

Broadway — Frame 51

Where the line continues.

At the northern edge of Manhattan, Broadway does not end—it transitions. The bridge carries the street forward, lifting it across boundaries, linking boroughs while maintaining a single name, a single trajectory.

Structure replaces density. Steel replaces façade. The rhythm shifts, but the path remains.

This is less a destination than a passage—an assertion that the city is continuous, even where it feels divided.

This work is part of the Portfolio Development Project 2025–2026 under the mentorship of Deborah Gilbert ().

With gratitude to Deborah for her guidance, and with hope for the safe return of all hostages.

Finally a day off!

Broadway — Frame 45
Choreography in the middle of chaos.A stage appears, holds for a moment—then dissolves back into the city.
Performance doesn’t need walls.Just rhythm, timing, and an audience willing to stop.
Do you watch—or keep moving?

Broadway — Frame 44
A split second where control disappears
and the city holds its breath.
Performance, risk, precision—
all decided before gravity returns.
Would you stop or keep walking?
