When Vasyl and April told me they wanted their engagement session to feel distinctly New York, we knew we had to embrace the energy of the city. Stopping traffic (just for a second!) for this classic dip-and-kiss under the Manhattan trees was absolutely worth it. There is nothing quite like romance in the city that never sleeps.

A 7 a.m. start, when the city was still quiet and the light was honey-soft. We met on the corner of Madison Avenue — under the lanterns and limestone — and slowly wandered into Central Park as the morning warmed up.

Past the brownstones in full summer bloom, through the cool shade of the arches, and out onto Bow Bridge with the sun behind them. The kind of morning you don’t want to end.

Shot entirely on a Canon EOS 1V + Fujifilm 400. Every frame, real film. 🎞️
