A family full of artists, a beach at golden hour, and flowers in every warm shade of a summer evening.

The bride’s family are all artists, so their work found its way into every corner of the day, quietly, the way good art does. The light was unreal. Right after the ceremony, we ran into the best dressed group in Rockaway outside the bar across the street, and the photos basically took themselves. Later, we stole about ten minutes on the sand as the sun went down. Then the DJ took over and the party raged all night. Nobody went home early, and honestly, why would you.

More from this one soon. There’s so much more to share!!

There’s a kind of ease that happens when two people are genuinely themselves in front of the camera, and this couple had it from the first frame. Their energy made this one of my favorite mornings in the West Village.

I love this part of my job more than I can say. The time spent really connecting with a couple, not just photographing them. Getting to slow down, to laugh with them on a street corner, to make something they’ll treasure, it means the world to me.

In their words: “we are so grateful for you and your level of attention to detail... so happy to have them forever.”

A Wong Kar-wai inspired nighttime elopement in NYC Chinatown shot on medium format film.

Neon lights, paper lanterns, sunglasses after dark. We styled the streets of Chinatown like an 80s and 90s Hong Kong style wedding shoot and let the night do the rest. Cinestill 800t for the red halation glow, black and white for the quiet in between.

This couple was inspired by my first Wong Kar-wai session in Chinatown, and I was so glad to have the chance to return with a fresh duo, a different night, and a completely different result. Same streets, new story.

Editorial, a little cinematic, still dreamy and romantic.

Shot on medium format film, 35mm film, and digital.

A breezy afternoon spent at Old Westbury Gardens. She wore Zimmermann catching every bit of light. The couple fit this editorial elopement in during a cross country move, boxes and all, and for a few hours none of that existed. Just the two of them, this gorgeous space, and more backdrops than we could use in one afternoon.

All on film... what a time!

Side note... this is the estate from Cruel Intentions, where Sebastian first meets Annette, aka Ryan Phillippe and Reese Witherspoon. I’ve wanted to shoot here since I was a teenager—another dream come true.

Some days it’s the light. The way it catches in the doorway, a window, or spills rainbows across the dance floor as the night winds down.

Other days it’s everything around it. Being let into a family’s most sacred celebration. Watching two people who mean the most to each other choose one more day to celebrate it. Getting to work alongside creatives and artists who show up and build something beautiful, together, for people who trust us with it.

The laughter. The dancing. The small, unplanned moments that end up mattering the most. I get to witness all of it, and then return it back as something they’ll keep for the rest of their lives.

Still, after everything, I feel grateful every single time.

High above Manhattan, this rooftop celebration at Le Jardin sur Maison caught golden hour at its most generous, gold and coral light spilling across the skyline as the sun dropped behind the Freedom Tower.

Garden roses and dahlias in peach and coral climbed the water tower. Grey silk draped one corner of the lounge. A marble bar wrapped in trailing greenery. A string trio playing low through dinner. Candlelight on the cake as the last color left the sky.
