Congratulations, Mowgli, BEST IN SHOW last weekend.

A story about Liane Winslow and Alex Barbas, Mowgli's humans that puts all of this in perspective. We had just started showing Wyatt in 2021 and I was late (lol as usual) and running in as the dogs were being called. I took Wyatt in on a big chunky leash and collar and I am told that I might have been the phone.... anyway, Wyatt and I had some how managed to take his class and Winners Dog (LOL, humble brag). Alex told Liane..."that's just...terrible...and we need to help this guy." Liane gave me a show lead for Wyatt so that I could take him into Best of Breed. From there on, they have helped me with stacking, movement, pretty much everything. They have invited me to hang with their peeps at their home. Liane's daughter, Sierra, has even offered to take Logan into the ring. These are good people...and I am so happy for them and for Mowgli. Well done.

Happy New Year!! I want to take a moment to thank the Samoyed Club of America for the opportunity to capture your special moments for these past several years. Special thanks to the show chairs: Jane Adams (2025), Beth Riley (2024) and Judy Davis (2022 – and the person who originally brought me into the world of Dog Show Photography). We are so excited to be coming back for 2026 (thank you, Diana Hauser). Last, it is important for me to mention Kathleen Farlow, who has been such a wonderful champion for us and Mary Drexler, who is “everything and anywhere, all at once.” It was such a pleasure meeting everyone and even getting to photograph some of my friends from here on the East Coast. Congratulations to all the winners!

I want to also make sure that we offer special congratulations to our Best In Show, MBIS MBISS GCHS Snowater’s Shining Dawn “AU,” bred by Ken and Kathy Granacki and to her owners, Tony and Carol Haas (and again) Ken Granacki.

As always, I am also thankful for my great assistant and dear friend, Justin Crawford. Enough yapping! Please enjoy these photos from the 2025 SCA National in October. I tried to pick one image from each order, so this is hardly inclusive as many people had many win photos, and orders go happen throughout the year - so please no one be offended if you feel a dog was left out. We are already looking forward to seeing everyone in Tennessee in 2026 and hopefully beyond! I hope you don’t mind that I added a couple of me with my boys doing our thing this year. 😊 Please remember that these images were edited on a professionally calibrated monitor, and may look either bright or a bit dark depending on how yours was calibrated.

Happy Thanksgiving! I want to thank everyone for their support. I really appreciate it and all of my Sammy People. Just a couple of reminders:
(1) we have special discounts on the sale of multiple candid photos. They are set to expire on Saturday - but HINT HINT we will continue them through the New Year. There is no coupon code - the prices drop as you add them to the cart.

(2) If you are doing an ad and the images are due soon, please get the word out to me as quick as you can. As most of you know, I don't allow direct downloads because I tweak everything before it goes out. I have a lot of shows through the end of December, and I want to make sure that I get everyone's images out as quickly as possible.

SCA 2025 Photo Update - We are completely up to date on ALL orders. Thank you to everyone who has helped support us - we are greatly appreciative. On that note, I just want to remind everyone that we have discount pricing on our Candid photos, including larger discounts for multiple images!! If you have not had a chance to review the ring photos, we did our best to break up everything by time and date. I thought it might be fun to share some of the images Justin and I have taken during the show. Please enjoy!

These are the Sunday images from our holiday shoot to support the New England Finnish Lapphund Club, Inc.. Thank you again to to my assistant and friend, Justin Crawford and RJ Rautio for their help! I think we raised close to $1000 for the club after expenses - so I am really really pleased.
