Shoutout to the Hip Hop duo, Finesse and Synquis, for their contributions to the culture 🙏🏾.

The duo started their career in the mid 80’s with Uptown Records. Their hit single, Soul Sisters, in 1988 helped bring them national attention. The Dapper Dan MCM jackets worn in their video helped set a fashion trend for others to follow and to imitate.

Another well known song of theirs was, Straight From the Soul. This song compared to others had a hardcore street sound and their lyrics displayed their willingness to try something different from their counterparts.

Although their career as a duo was short lived due to management issues, Finesse and Synquis paved a way for other women artists in the industry.
