Last night I filmed my last wedding of the year in NYC and now comes my season of finishing edits and then my hibernation as I prepare to birth another human being 😳🥰 (I feel both haha.)

Thankful to all my couples who invited me into one of the most important days of their lives and trusted me to capture their love stories! Thankful for what I get to do for you guys!!

Courtney and Tim will get to have the big wedding reception they dreamed about next year, but this micro wedding they had this past summer was pretty damn dreamy!! Here’s a snippet of their gorgeous Highlight Film!

Sharing some exciting news over in the Joyce household!

Baby Boy #2 is arriving March 2022!!

As a female business owner you try to be pretty strategic about these life changes. Having two little ones 16 months apart, due right at the beginning of wedding season was not “the plan.” But I am a big believer that the Lord’s plans are better than my own and I could not be more excited about this new season of life. That does mean taking far less weddings and adding more to my role as mother but I am 100% ok with this change in season!! I absolutely love what what I have been able to do full time these last 6 years. The couples, the parties, the memories and adventures have been an incredible blessing. But I am ready for my greatest adventure yet…growing our soccer team 😏

Was on a bit of a social hiatus but in celebration of flying back to NYC this weekend to film my second to last wedding of the season I have to share last months epic celebration!!

A month ago Jeff and Taylor married in an enchanted forest outside of Albany, New York. I knew when we first Skyped almost two years ago and there were huge fireworks between the three of us that this wedding was gonna be special! Every detail was perfection and the vibe was absolutely epic! It was such an honor to work alongside this incredible team. (Vendors tagged in video)

Can I start every wedding weekend with a dance session lake side while popping champagne? 🍾

When I took Aaron snd Shannon out the week before their wedding for a sunset adventure session I said to them “just hangout while I get my camera settings right.” When I looked up they were already completely wrapped up in one another, kissing, playing, dancing and laughing. For the next two hours I rarely said a word of coaching, I just played music and allowed them to be totally them! Then a week later at their wedding not a thing was different these two were dancing, laughing and having a blast from the beginning of the day to the end! I mean when I heard their “send off” was a surprise pool jump I thought, oh this is going to be one hell of a party!!

So grateful I was able to capture this wedding bliss and these two incredible humans! My first Oregon wedding since moving back, and it did not disappoint!!

Cheers to Friday! I’m stoked because after work it’s date night for the hubs and I and our little third wheel, I mean son 😉 One of our favorite parts of exploring any new city is the food and in our new home town that is no different. Since moving to Oregon we have had very few free nights or weekends so I am pumped to get to explore with my family tonight and find a new favorite spot! What are your Friday night plans?

Get you someone who wants to shake their b***y on hillsides with you!!

This morning as I blasted the Latin tunes and my 8 month old just stared at me I realized I have been falling behind on making sure he is a music loving, happy dancer! I have loved to blast the music and dance my heart out since I was a little girl. Am I any good? Not really. Is that the point? Not at all! There is so much freedom in expressing yourself through dance! If you haven’t yet tried it I suggest you crank the tunes and let it rip today! Don’t worry no one is watching!! 😉

Verika and John were playing and dancing the whole day and what a difference it made!! They were so carefree and having fun, completely immersed in their day!! Honestly guys, it’s such a short day anyway, be as free as you can, let yourself play, be silly, sexy, over the top, whatever! Just be fully present! And know that I got you covered 🥰

Putting myself together on a Monday like this! Life’s too short not to dance in your bathrobe and psych yourself up for the day!

Mine also started with a good sweat session at . Good Lawdy when I say sweat I mean rain! The best part is that this momma was running a bit late for work today so we skipped the post workout shower and just threw that hair up! I can still taste the salt on the sides of my lips. I have to say sometimes I don’t hate it, it kinda makes me feel like I just got off a boat on the ocean, with a nice sea breeze stuck to my skin. Keeping it real for you guys! How do you prepare for your day?

Drinks on me! Or that’s what I’d yell if I was popping champagne like and ! Am I the only one who gets excited for drinks on a Thursday night?! Lately my libation of choice has been a whiskey sour! And honestly I love making them at home the most! That way I can make em extra strong and extra lemony (I’m a big fan of citrus!) and of course to be a true whiskey sour don’t forget that egg white!

Here is my perfect whiskey sour recipe!

1/4 c. Rye Whiskey (I love )
1 Tbsp sugar
Juice of 1 lemon (I told you it was a lot)
1 egg white

Put all ingredients into a cocktail shaker with some ice and shake the heck out of that sucker so you get all the frothy goodness, strain over a large ice cube and enjoy!!

BIG ANNOUNCEMENT!!

Hey all, Anna here letting you know that Joyce Films is going WEST COAST!! From Brooklyn 🛫 Oregon! In many ways it feels like coming home, as I am originally from Portland but I am sad to be leaving my New York community. I built my business in New York, starting from nothing and knowing absolutely no one, to now having a genuine community of friends, loved vendors and absolutely cherished couples! However I am excited to get to know all the incredible vendors on the other side of the states and start building a new community. What that also means for couples is I will now be booking mostly West Coast weddings from here on out. While I will still book a handful of New York weddings a year, I will reserve most dates for the West Coast. But it won’t be limited to just Oregon. It will include California, Washington, Idaho, Utah and really anywhere adventure awaits!

I cannot wait to connect with couples out here and trade in the sky scraper views for mountain tops (although don’t get me wrong, I’m gonna need to be back at least a few times a year to get them city view weddings, nothing compares to NYC!)

In honor of this big transition I will be doing an elopement package giveaway! A FREE elopement package for those having an elopement or micro wedding. What?! I know, I’m super pumped!! Details on how to enter coming tomorrow!! So tell your friends or those you know who may be interested!
