This is not just a horse.
This is a spirit painted in courage,
a heartbeat wrapped in pattern and meaning.

Red for the fire that keeps us moving.
Black for the night that teaches us to listen.
White for the path that clears after struggle.

Every line feels like a story,
every symbol like a vow,
every feather like a message
carried between earth and sky.

Some bonds do not need words.
They live in trust.
They live in stillness.
They live in the way two beings understand each other
without asking for proof.

May we honor that kind of connection today.
May we move with respect.
And may our spirit stay strong
even when the world gets loud.

Shelley Duvall, Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, and Laraine Newman as the Video Vixens.
Saturday Night Live, May 14, 1977.

This looks like a backstage photo, but it feels like a full-blown glam-rock fever dream.

Shelley Duvall brought her offbeat, magnetic energy to SNL as guest host, while Jane Curtin, Gilda Radner, and Laraine Newman helped turn “Video Vixens” into one of those perfectly strange late-’70s moments the show could pull off better than anyone else. Part music sketch, part satire, part chaos — and completely unforgettable.

What makes this photo so good is that it captures more than the costumes. It catches four women who helped define the tone of that era: smart, fearless, funny, and a little dangerous in the best possible way.

Early SNL could be messy, experimental, and wildly original. This photo is all of that in one frame.

The land remembers.
Each stone,
each trembling leaf,
each breath of wind
is a whisper from before time.

They walk with us still—
the ones who sang to the dawn,
who painted the sky with smoke and prayer,
who knew the tongue of rivers
and the heartbeat of the soil.

The land is a bridge,
woven with roots and blood,
carrying our spirits
from yesterday into forever.

Listen—
their voices echo
in the cry of the eagle,
in the hush of snowfall on pine,
in the river’s endless song.

When we stand upon this earth,
we stand upon their bones,
their dreams,
their love—
and we remember:

we are not apart.
We are the land,
and the land is them.
