The Cowboys have officially wrapped up OTAs, but not before giving fans a few more storylines to talk about.

One of the biggest topics remains George Pickens. While he didn't exactly reveal much, his latest comments have only added to the curiosity surrounding his offseason and what his role could look like once training camp begins.

The reality is that Pickens doesn't need to win June headlines. What Cowboys fans care about is what happens when the season starts. If he develops chemistry with Dak Prescott and brings the explosive playmaking ability that made Dallas trade for him, all of the offseason chatter will be forgotten quickly.

Beyond Pickens, the conclusion of OTAs provided a clearer picture of where this team stands heading into minicamp and training camp. Position battles are taking shape, young players are making their case for bigger roles, and the coaching staff is continuing to build the culture they want for 2026.

What stands out most is the emphasis on competition. No spot seems guaranteed, and several players have used OTAs to put themselves firmly on the radar.

Now the focus shifts to the next phase.

Training camp is where stories become reality, hype gets tested, and players either earn their role or lose it.

What's your biggest takeaway from Cowboys OTAs this year? 🤠👇

🔥 George Pickens
🔥 The defense
🔥 The rookie class
🔥 The position battles

A few weeks ago, the Cowboys' running back depth chart looked pretty straightforward.

Now? Not so much. 👀

OTAs have a way of changing perceptions, and that's exactly what's happening in Dallas. Players who entered the offseason as afterthoughts are creating buzz, while others are being pushed to prove they deserve their spot in the pecking order.

What's becoming clear is that the coaching staff isn't interested in handing out roles based on reputation alone. Every rep matters, every practice matters, and the competition in the backfield appears to be wide open heading into mandatory minicamp.

The biggest winner so far might be the player who's forcing coaches to take a longer look than expected. That's how depth chart battles are won—not through hype, but through consistent performance.

Of course, OTAs are only the beginning. Minicamp and training camp will tell us much more about who can handle the workload when the pressure increases.

Still, if these early trends continue, the Cowboys' running back room could look very different from what many fans expected when the offseason started.

So here's the question, Cowboys Nation:

Who do you think finishes the season as Dallas' most productive running back? 🤠👇

🏈 Jaydon Blue
🏈 Javonte Williams
🏈 Miles Sanders
🏈 Someone else

The Cowboys gave fans plenty to talk about this weekend, and a few names are starting to generate some real buzz heading into training camp. 👀

Ryan Flournoy continues to turn heads and make the most of his opportunities. Every offseason, there's a player who quietly starts building momentum, and Flournoy is doing everything he can to put himself in that conversation. The talent has always been intriguing—the question is whether he can carry that momentum into camp and earn a bigger role.

Meanwhile, George Pickens remains one of the most talked-about players on the roster. Whether it's his availability, expectations, or potential impact on the offense, fans are paying attention to every development involving the star receiver.

And then there's the free-agent market. Even as OTAs continue, the Cowboys are still evaluating opportunities to improve the roster. Good teams are always looking for ways to add depth, competition, and experience before the season begins.

The biggest takeaway?

Nothing is settled yet.

Roster spots are still up for grabs, position battles are heating up, and several players have a chance to change the outlook of this team before Week 1 arrives.

Which storyline has your attention the most right now?

🔥 Ryan Flournoy's rise
🔥 George Pickens' impact
🔥 Potential free-agent additions

One word keeps coming up when people talk about the Cowboys' defense this offseason:

**Urgency.**

According to Christian Parker, that mindset is already starting to take shape, and that's exactly what Cowboys fans should want to hear.

Talent has never been the issue in Dallas. The roster is filled with playmakers, difference-makers, and athletes capable of changing games. The challenge has always been turning that talent into a disciplined, consistent defense that performs at its best when the stakes are highest.

That's where urgency matters.

An urgent defense plays fast. It communicates better. It swarms to the football. It treats every rep like it matters. And perhaps most importantly, it doesn't wait for big moments—it creates them.

Of course, it's still the offseason. Nobody is handing out trophies for winning OTAs. But culture, habits, and accountability are built long before Week 1 arrives. If this defensive unit is truly buying into that mentality now, the benefits could show up when the season begins.

The Cowboys have the talent to be one of the NFL's most dangerous defenses.

The question is whether this new sense of urgency can help them take the next step.

Do you think the Cowboys' defense will be better, worse, or about the same in 2026? 🤠👇

Tyron Smith may not be lining up every Sunday for the Cowboys anymore, but his impact on this team is still being felt.

One of the most valuable things a veteran can provide isn't just talent—it's knowledge. Young offensive linemen can learn a lot from someone who spent years protecting quarterbacks, battling elite pass rushers, and performing under the pressure that comes with wearing a Cowboys uniform.

The offensive line has gone through a lot of changes in recent years, and developing the next generation of linemen is critical to this team's success. Having someone like Tyron around to share his experience, technique, and football IQ can only help accelerate that process.

The best veterans don't just lead with words. They lead by showing younger players what it takes to prepare, compete, and stay successful in the NFL for a long time.

That's why Tyron's influence could end up being more important than many fans realize.

The Cowboys are counting on their offensive line to take a major step forward this season. If Tyron Smith can help guide that development behind the scenes, Dallas could benefit in a big way.

How much of an impact do you think veteran mentorship can have on a young offensive line? 🤠👇

OTAs may not count in the standings, but they're giving Cowboys fans a clearer picture of what this team is trying to build under Brian Schottenheimer.

Among the latest takeaways, Caleb Downs getting work on special teams stands out. Great teams don't just rely on stars—they get contributions from everywhere, and special teams can often be the difference in close games. The willingness of talented players to contribute in multiple areas says a lot about the culture being built.

Another interesting detail was the dinner with Schotty. Those moments don't show up on a stat sheet, but they matter. Team chemistry, trust, and relationships are often built away from the practice field. Coaches who connect with players can create a stronger locker room, and strong locker rooms usually handle adversity better when the season gets tough.

The more OTA reports come out, the more it feels like competition is being emphasized across the roster. No positions are being handed out, and players are being challenged to earn every opportunity.

It's still June, but the foundation for the 2026 season is being laid right now.

What's been your biggest takeaway from Cowboys OTAs so far?

👀 The defensive changes
👀 The position battles
👀 The rookie development
👀 The team culture under Schottenheimer

Jaydon Blue may have just delivered one of the most encouraging signs Cowboys fans could see from a rookie—and it wasn't a highlight play.

It was the understanding behind it.

Talented players arrive in the NFL every year, but the ones who stick are usually the ones who realize how much the details matter. Learning the playbook, understanding assignments, protecting the football, helping on special teams, and earning trust from coaches are often what separate contributors from prospects.

If Blue is starting to show that he understands what it takes to succeed in Dallas, that's a bigger development than any single OTA moment.

The Cowboys don't need rookies to become stars overnight. They need players who are willing to learn, adapt, and compete every day. When a young player shows that mindset early, it's a reason for optimism.

Training camp will be the real test, but this is the kind of progress coaches want to see from a rookie at this stage of the offseason.

Do you think Jaydon Blue can carve out a meaningful role in the Cowboys offense this season? 🤠👇
