Hello friends! A few weeks ago on Instagram, I asked my followers to vote on a photo location, lens, outfit, and amount of props. Then I created a photo based off of their responses!

The results were:
The woods (51%)
50mm lens (52%)
Long dress (80%)
One prop (54%)

So off I went, and made this image! Shooting this was a very fun challenge and really made me think - thank you to everyone who participated!

As the photoshoot was happening, I started to get quite inspired by the shapes and figures in votive imagery, El Greco’s work, and Tissot’s “Angels Attending to Jesus.” The mood in the forest was quiet and still, and reminded me of the mood of some of Crewdson’s “Cathedral of the Pines” photographs. Mix that all together in my head and here you go! :)

I am super excited to announce that my first solo show just opened today! 😄📸 “Kaleidoscope" features a selection of nature images spanning the past five years. The exhibition will take place at the Freeport Memorial Library (Long Island, NY) and will be open from September 2-29, 2018.

--> For my NYC/Long Island friends and followers, there is an artist's reception on Sunday, September 16 from 2-4 pm...feel free to come by and say hello!
