A favorite superhero.

Or, in one memorable case, a Lamborghini. 🏎️🥹

The tradition began during Parry’s medical training, after he saw another pediatric surgeon create shark-shaped dressings for young patients. He noticed how much happiness those small drawings brought to children and their families—and decided to carry the idea forward. 🦈✨

Over the years, the drawings became more personal.

One young patient asked Parry to draw a Lamborghini. When Parry finished, the child noticed something special: the drawing looked remarkably similar to the toy Lamborghini he owned.

For a child facing something as frightening as surgery, that tiny moment of recognition could mean a lot.

By 2020, Parry estimated that he had decorated around 10,000 dressings. ❤️

At just 13 years old, Délynn Jacquard took on a fish nearly four times her own age—and refused to give up. 🎣🐟

While competing in the Wedgeport Tuna Tournament off the coast of Nova Scotia, Délynn hooked a massive bluefin tuna weighing 711 pounds.

Then came the hard part.

She battled the enormous fish for more than an hour, holding on through an exhausting fight that tested her strength and determination.

If officially certified, her catch would be nearly 100 pounds heavier than the previous female junior world record of 618 pounds. 👏🔥

But there was an important rule: Délynn had to fight the fish herself for the record to count.

And she did.

Even more impressive, she’s relatively new to big-game fishing—making the achievement even more remarkable.

Her incredible catch is now awaiting official certification from the International Game Fish Association.

For five-year-old Ryder Killam, getting on the school bus meant facing a challenge most kindergarteners never had to think about. 🚌❤️

Ryder has spina bifida and uses a wheelchair. When he started attending kindergarten in person in 2021, his school bus stopped near the end of his family’s driveway in Westerly, Rhode Island.

But getting his wheelchair outside took time.

He couldn’t simply wait inside and run out when the bus arrived. His father, Tim, initially tried using a patio umbrella to shield Ryder from the rain and wind, but New England weather made that difficult.

So the family asked their community for help.

Students and teacher Dan McKena from Westerly High School’s Construction Technology program decided they could build a solution.

Over several weeks, they designed and constructed a wooden, wheelchair-accessible bus shelter specifically for Ryder. It was large enough for Ryder and a caregiver, while community members helped provide the materials. 🛠️

When the shelter was complete, the students delivered it right to the end of Ryder’s driveway.

And they added one special finishing touch.

A sign that read: **“Ryder’s Bus Stop.”** 🥹

What started as a construction project at a high school became something much more meaningful.

It gave a young child a safer, more comfortable place to wait for school every morning—and showed him that his community was willing to look out for him.

At 47, Ramabai Ranveer from Ambajogai in Maharashtra’s Beed district entered a local marathon with one goal: to help support her two daughters’ education.

Ramabai works as a cook at an academy and has been raising her daughters since the death of her husband.

She began the race wearing slippers, but they repeatedly slipped off. Rather than stop or turn back, she simply removed them and continued—barefoot.

Wearing a saree and competing against much younger runners, Ramabai kept pushing forward.

And she won.

She crossed the finish line in first place and received ₹3,000 in prize money. 🏆
