Feeling blessed to be able to document this moment in Knowles fam history as Daniel “Julez” Smith Jr. made his debut walking in his first ever runway show this Tuesday, Feb. 13 for F24 during New York Fashion Week.

Angie Beyincé + Tina Knowles + Beyoncé Giselle Knowles-Carter and ofc muva Solange Knowles were in the building to support Jewelz’s appearance in ’s “Deceptionista” collection, a fashion story about blurring gender constructs and the journey of presenting his truest self to the world.

I’ve never seen media chaos quite like when That Girl™ walked in, but I wanted to focus less on getting all up in her grill and more on telling the story of this moment — one that when you zoom out is about a loving, supportive, proud family that so many of us admire from afar showing up for a young man starting a new journey… made possible by the creative work of so many people! You see the boi!!! So thankful I got to witness it through my lens. 🤍

Happy Juneteenth!!!
This is an incredible moment in human history, where our Black brothers and sisters are getting the overdue spotlight to have their voices heard and stories told in an effort to highlight truth, strive for justice, and reach true racial equity. Today is 6/19 - the day in 1865 when the news of emancipation reached the last enslaved people in our country.

Today, a coalition of talented Black photographers released See in Black - selling BEAUTIFUL 11x14 prints - with proceeds benefitting black community projects.

I'm so thankful to call many of these photographers my friends and peers, and I am so in awe of the stories they are able to capture through their respective lenses. When so much of Black culture is limited and often negatively painted through traditional media outlets & movies, how refreshing is it to see this curated collection of dynamic multifaceted BLACK ART BY BLACK ARTISTS!?

For the past 10 weeks has been my favorite 30 minute escape from reality. All throughout quarantine it has been my weekly light at the end of the tunnel, and I’m not kidding when I say it is the only series I currently keep up with. 😅 I related to so much of Season 4 and I deeply appreciated feeling so connected to a show, especially through such uncertain and isolated months.
As the season ends tonight, 🥂here’s to art that delights us, transports us, relaxes us, reminds us of better days (like when I got the chance photograph the cast in LA at the ABFF awards! 🙌🏼🤩) & here’s to the Awkward Black Girl who had the bravery & tenacity to start it all. 🏆
What a perfect time to be inspired by what we can build if we BEGIN and BELIEVE in our dream. (And work super fu***ng hard at it!) We thank ya

Editing my shots & reflecting on this insanely glam trip to France - filled with so many firsts- thank you to all involved @ (every shot I take is the result of all your hard work on the front end) and of course, my friend turned coworker 🇫🇷 👏🏼 (Sharing this next bit Bc told me vulnerability is the way to courage so y’all gon get this honesty)
I can’t quite wrap my mind around all the unreal opportunities I’ve been blessed with this year... and tbh I’m stilllllll working on feeling like I deserve to be in the spaces and places I’ve been placed in. WTF IS MY LIFE!?? Sometimes manifests in icky ways- anxiety, questioning myself, shaking up my confidence. Thinking about all the things I could have done differently or more creatively. I know this will improve with time. I’m putting in the work to get my energy right, growing in my truth each day & remembering that the only person I need to prove anything to is MYdamnself. Thankful for it all❣️ @ France
