I CAN’T BELIEVE I’M FINALLY DOING THIS!
After years of wanting to explore film photography, I finally shot and developed my VERY FIRST roll of 35mm film! And today, I’m taking you along as I see the scans and share my first reactions.
This roll was one big experiment. I wanted to put my film camera through a proper test and see how I felt about shooting analog photography alongside my usual digital work.
So I tried a little bit of EVERYTHING! Studio portraits, client photoshoots around New York City, landscapes, flowers, and even double exposures. I wanted to see what this camera could do, how film would fit into my creative process, and whether I would enjoy working with it.
In this video, I’m sharing my genuine, unfiltered reactions to seeing these photographs for the first time, along with some behind-the-scenes stories about why I took certain shots, what I was trying to capture, and the creative decisions behind them.
And this is just the beginning! I’m planning to introduce 35mm film photography as an additional service for my NYC photoshoots very soon. Digital photography will remain the main focus of my work, but I’m excited to give my clients the option of adding something a little different to their sessions.
