I’m finally sharing more from this beautiful Stonewall Estate wedding of Meaghan and Austin. And this Catskills wedding venue, Stonewall Estate, is such a special place for me - it always feels calm and welcoming. Everywhere you turn, there’s another perfect spot for photos. And Melanie and Steve, the owners, are truly some of the kindest, most genuine people you’ll meet.

I feel really lucky that I’ve been able to photograph at least one or two weddings here every year since 2022. If you’re still searching for a venue with an incredible atmosphere, gorgeous outdoor views, rolling hills, and endless greenery, this is such a special place to get married.

Should you bring your dog to your wedding if your venue allows it? I’d say yes, absolutely.

In 2025, I photographed a few weddings where couples brought their dogs, and those ended up being some of the sweetest photos in the whole gallery.

Best way to do it is not having your dog there all day. Just bring them in for a part of it, like your couple portraits. Someone can help coordinate, and those photos will mean a lot later on. There are also services where somebody comes to take care of your dog during the wedding day, so you don’t have to worry.

Honestly, they’re family. It makes sense to include them.

A fun fact about me. I actually started my career photographing South Asian weddings.

For a while, I worked as a freelance photographer with larger companies and alongside some well-known photographers, and those weddings really shaped me. Long days (14-16 hours of continuous shooting!), big celebrations, hundreds of guests. You learn fast how to stay present, move quickly, and keep track of a lot at once.

There’s something about South Asian weddings that’s hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it. The colors, the music, the dancing. It all feels very alive, and I’ve always loved being in that environment.

I don’t focus on them full-time right now since multi-day celebrations can be a lot physically, but I still take them on occasionally. And every time I do, I’m reminded why I enjoyed them so much.
