This photograph shows the Statue of Liberty during a very orange sunset. The artist shows how we instinctively want the sun to be the torch and light the photograph with perfection. But as with all things, it takes time. We have our ideals, our visions of ourselves the way we dream to be. Our ego dressed up in the finest robes we could sew.
But as we work and strive to bring our everyday selves closer to the perfect ego we created the further away it drops as we have learned more through our steps in our attempt to better ourselves than we could have ever known before. We use that knowledge to make our ego, our sun, brighter, heavier, harder to master.
And there we sit for eternity stradling our desire to be our perfect selves and the weight of learning to be ever better.
