Most people saw a beautiful dress.

What they missed was the story behind it.

At the 2026 Met Gala, Sabrina Carpenter wore a custom Dior look inspired by the 1954 Audrey Hepburn film Sabrina. Wrapped in rhinestone film strips, the dress transformed fashion into a tribute to cinema.

The best creative ideas often happen when different art forms collide. In this case, fashion spoke the language of film.

As a film photographer, this ended up being one of my favorite looks of the night.

Not because it was the biggest, but because it feels the most complete. The songwriting, the vulnerability, and the storytelling still hit today.
