Ahhhhh, Good Morning Friends!
Mother Nature is on a creative roll this week with these amazing cloud shapes. With a slight breeze and a calm ocean, the morning felt extra serene.

A flock of ibis flew in for their morning walk while the laughing gulls got squeaky clean in the tide pool. Two pelicans floated with the illuminated channel marker in the background, reminding us to look for guideposts — they are everywhere.

At the edge of the ocean was a sand dollar, bringing us the message of transformation, peace, abundance, and connection to the Divine. A powerful little messenger for sure.

The sand dollar said, “I’m a reminder to remain peaceful, knowing you are resilient and abundant in more ways than you may realize.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode - Pelican & A Dolphin
Yesterday, a male dolphin was in was in the lagoon, mostly just relaxing. When he was in the mood he was chasing mullet with a pelican close behind.

The dolphin wasn't pleased when the pelican stole a fish or two. They had words...meaning the dolphin chuffed, exhaling with gusto repeatedly and quickly, then gave the pelican a good boop!

Ahhhhh, Mother Nature brought us a stunner this morning! The color show and the tide pool reflections created a breathtaking masterpiece, with the sky painting above and below at the same time.

It was also a great day for the cloud game — I see two people flying through the sky. What do you see?

The sun came up looking like a glowing beach ball kissing the ocean good morning. A flock of ibis and laughing gulls used the tide pools for breakfast and bath time, while a solo shark cruised the waves looking for breakfast of his own.

The reflective ibis said, “When the waters are still, we can see more clearly. Reflection helps us notice the beauty above us, beneath us, and within us. Let your imagination stretch, sometimes what we see is more than a cloud, more than a reflection, and exactly the reminder we needed.”

WOW! Mother Nature mixed pink and gold this morning to create a beautiful copper-themed sunrise.

It was another Easter egg kind of sunrise as the sun slowly rose, kissing the ocean goodbye for the day.

There was wildlife everywhere! Dolphins played beyond the waves, sharks patrolled the shallows, ibis searched for breakfast along the shoreline, and of course, Pelican Highway was busy enjoying a sushi breakfast. As an extra bonus, a crab made an appearance in the surf to enjoy the sunrise as well.

The shark reminds us that sensitivity is a strength. By tuning into what we feel and sense around us, we gain valuable information about the path ahead. Then, when the time is right, we can kick it to move forward.

The crab chimed in saying, ”Life isn't always a straight path. Sometimes the journey takes us sideways or even backward before moving us forward again. Not to worry, the crooked path is purposeful and part of the adventure."

Wishing you a beautiful day friends!

Happy World Sea Turtle Day! 🐢
Seeing a mom sea turtle return to the ocean after laying her eggs is truly inspiring.
The beach was huge this day.....A beautiful reminder of the strength, determination, and instinct found in Mother Nature.

Thank you to the New Smyrna Beach Turtle Tracker for your tireless work and love of our turtles!

Music by Kevin P. Holt, which adds to the beauty of this special moment.

Good Morning!
The sunrise felt cozy and serene this morning, instantly calming my body the moment my feet touched the sand.

Mother Nature wrapped the morning in a soft pastel palette, while a gentle layer of Sahara dust gifted us a large Easter egg of a rising to greet the day.

Soft shimmery silver and blush pink light glistened on the ocean like a silky veil, adding an extra layer of calm to the morning.

Pelican Highway was especially packed, with plenty of feathered friends already gathered at a nearby breakfast stop, stocking up on sushi snacks before the day ahead.

Meanwhile, a box turtle cruised steadily across the parking lot — one determined step at a time saying, “I’m a reminder that slow and steady still gets us where we’re meant to go.”

Wishing you a beautiful day, friends!

Tales from the Lagoon ~ Episode – Split Fin and a Little Lagoon Cutie

Check out this adorable nugget! I’m not sure if this calf is a boy or girl yet, but s/he was clearly enjoying some close company and learning how to pop up — showing off all the cuteness. 🐬

Most people think dolphins are too smart to get hit by boats… but dolphins can be focused on socializing, caring for calves, or simply enjoying a moment together.

A little extra care and slower speeds when you see dolphins can make a big difference. 💙

Stay tuned for more tales!
