Thrilled to share that my first assignment for The New York Times was published on September 22 — my birthday, which made the moment even more meaningful.

This summer I had the privilege of documenting the community Lou Harris is building in the Rockaways. Waking up before sunrise to make the drive was no small feat, but what I witnessed was extraordinary: a space where kids can find belonging, confidence, and joy in the ocean.

I’m grateful to Brent Lewis for opening this door, to writer Aimee Ortiz for her thoughtful words, and to the Black Surfing Association and Surf Lou for welcoming me into your community. At a time when it seems like humanity itself is eroding, seeing this kind of resilience and vision was profoundly moving.

✨ Wednesday, September 17th, I had the incredible opportunity to cover the Bitcoin Treasuries Unconference at Lavan Midtown in NYC on assignment for Reuters.

Huge thanks to Tim Kotzman for connecting me to Ed Juline, who gave me access to capture this historic gathering of leaders in the crypto space.

It was inspiring to document Michael Saylor, Alex Thorn, Pierre Rochard, Jeff Walton, Matt Cole, Joe Burnett, Jackson Mikalic, Joe Consorti, and so many others as they shared their insights on the future of Bitcoin. It was also pretty awesome to see Michael Saylor sign the iconic ‘Buy Bitcoin’ sign that sold for $1.8 million at auction.

📸 Shooting this event was not only exciting but also a learning experience.

I highly recommend that people take time to educate themselves about digital assets and the role they may play in our financial future.

I had the honor of photographing her album signing at Legacy Dumbo and the energy was incredible. Fans lined up, smiles everywhere, and Ciara was gracious, radiant, and full of love for her supporters.

Saturday I photographed The Clipse album signing at Legacy Records in Dumbo. Their new album played on loop, and every now and then, they’d rap along. It was surreal to be there with the rap legends.

Big thanks to Ali for having me document the afternoon for Getty. Legacy Records is so much more than a store and it was very cool to witness it firsthand.
