It’s been a couple years since I really stepped back from photography. I still miss it sometimes, but I know it was the right decision for my family.

Since then, I’ve been channeling my creativity into our home instead. I’ve always loved interiors, "pinning" homes I love since high school, literally thousands of them, dreaming about what my own home could one day be. The way some girls dream about their fairytale wedding, I’ve always dreamed of home.

And it’s been so fun finally getting to bring that to life, collecting vintage and antique pieces with so much history and character, tackling DIY projects, making a space that hopefully feels more like a European cottage than a little ranch home in Florida.

I’ve thought about transitioning this page into more of that, but I keep holding off because I feel like everything needs to be finished first.

Anyone that knows me knows I tend to be pretty quiet and private, certainly a perfectionist, but I do miss sharing the things that bring me joy. Right now that looks like taking care of my family, making our home feel cozy and lived in, and honestly, fitness too.

So maybe instead of waiting for everything to feel perfect, I should just start sharing it anyway. There’s definitely some beauty in the process, too.

P.S. These are from one of the last shoots I ever did. I never shared because I was struggling with letting go of my business. BUT I am still proud of these and feel like they deserve to see the world.

I have a hard time putting into words what my clients mean to me. All of you have entrusted me to capture not just your likeness, but your love and connection. And that matters. I'd be lying if I said I always felt confident in my path. When life gets tough and I feel overwhelmed, photography tends to be the one thing I feel control over and the easiest to see myself letting go. But there's a reason I keep coming back. It is for you.

I didn't grow up with a camera in my hand. I picked one up when studying art in college and realized this is how I could build a career in my field. What I didn't really realize until the past few years is just how important this work is.

Maybe it is because I'm hormonal, or maybe it is because I get to meet this baby boy tomorrow, but the weight of this work feels heavy right now, though not in a bad way. Amber and Greg, you have entrusted me with more than most can even imagine. I am grateful to be a part of your journey, and I can't wait to photograph your family once again tomorrow. ❤️

Choosing just a few favorites to share from Julie and Marc's engagement was not just difficult but nearly impossible. The only thing that helped was knowing I can always post more. They were amazing and I'm so excited for their wedding!!!
