"I'll do it when..."
..I lose a little weight...life isn't quite so busy...I feel more confident.

I can't tell you how many women have given me a version of this sentence.

But after 15 years of photographing women, here's what I wish I could tell every one of them:

You don't need to become a different version of yourself before you deserve to be photographed.

You don't need to lose 10 pounds.
You don't need to wait for life to slow down.
And you definitely don't need to find your confidence before you walk through my door.

Come as you are today.

I'll take care of the posing, lighting, wardrobe guidance, and all those little details you're already worrying about.

Because someday, the woman you are right now is the woman you're going to wish you had celebrated more.

Sometimes your favorite portrait isn’t the one where everyone is looking at the camera. 🖤🐾

It’s the one that captures this. The laugh. The chaos. The completely unplanned moment that says everything about the relationship.

Quincy brought her BFF into the studio, and instead of trying to make everything perfectly posed, we made room for their real connection to show up. And I am SO glad we did. These are the photographs that become more precious with time because they capture not only what someone looked like, but what loving them felt like.

The past few months have asked me to slow down in ways I never expected.

I stepped away from the studio for a little while to focus on my health, and in that time I was reminded just how precious our lives, our relationships, and our stories really are.

I’ve always believed that photographs are about so much more than how we look. They are about who we are in this season of life, the people we love, the strength we carry, and the moments we too often assume we’ll always have.

I’m so grateful to be returning to Adore Portrait Studio and to the work that means so much to me.

To everyone who reached out, checked in, prayed, encouraged me, or simply gave me the space I needed, thank you. Your kindness has stayed with me.

I’m looking forward to being back behind the camera, helping women feel seen, beautiful, strong, and worthy of being celebrated exactly as they are.

This chapter feels a little different now.

And maybe that’s a beautiful thing. ❤️
