Thoughts while I eat a piece of cake for breakfast:
Life is not that serious. The more you approach life (& your job) with playfulness and curiosity, the more you’ll receive in return.
You do not have to impress anyone. You were chosen to shoot their wedding; you’ve already impressed them. Show up. Immerse yourself in their family and friendships. Drink with their grandparents. Jump in the pool at the end of the night. Capture their day as a dear friend…not a professional.
Indulge in their love. Not the material things….not the flat lays, designer shoes, or whatever else we’ve been conditioned to think is so important. Lead with love & all the details will fall into place.
& lastly, always make room for cake.
