In New Orleans, your block is your world.

You know your neighbors, corner stores, and restaurants. At my photography and video studio on Julia Street - I know my neighbors and I LOVE my backgrounds.

Within one city block on the corner of Julia and Baronne, I can create a multitude of branding environments to help tell your story.

Your shoot can start inside my studio and since I am nestled right in the New Orleans Warehouse District and only steps away from Downtown New Orleans...we can walk to capture so many moods and a variety of headshots..

You Do You - I’ll Do The Rest! Contact me now to talk about your next photo shoot or video project!

Can you quiet your mind for a minute, and tap into the spirits of the night? Well - we had to do that to get this uniquely (not very real) Tarot reading night in Jackson Square.

You’ll never get a quiet night in the Square to have full control over who is in the shot, especially when you know it’s going to various marketing departments...around the world! We envisioned what the scene could be like after some heavy post-editing in Photoshop, and created the elements we could control in the foreground and made some magic.

Being able to pre-shoot scout for the proper composition at Civil Twilight - we hired Jackson Square tarot readers to help us stage this scene.

Watch the video to come behind the scenes on this magical night photoshoot in New Orleans with me!

How We Got The Shot #3!

Come behind the scenes with me as I talk about how we created the mood to go with the amazing music at Preservation Hall! This is an exclusive behind-the-scenes viewing of our photo shoot done with New Orleans & Company to help promote this amazing city!

In this third installment of How We Got The Shot – we abandon what we loved about the Fuji and go full Sony, all Trad Jazz, and set the mood with some grids!

I have been lucky enough to have a wonderful relationship with the folks at Preservation Hall - Ben, Ron, Howard and so many of the musicians there. Any time I have an opportunity to feature them in anything I do, it’s a no-brainer to call them up. My old pal Clint Maedgen, Joe Lastie, and Wendell Brunious were my 1st choices to be featured on this campaign and I am glad they could do it.

I have the utmost respect for what Ben and his team have built at Preservation Hall, and through my photography and connections to other brands and businesses I have to do my best to maintain that tone of culture. The paint peeling walls, the patina’d iron, the lush courtyard - they all have a personality and I have to do my best to make their song sing without getting in the way.

from New Orleans & Company 2025 Campaign!

n this second installment of How We Got The Shot - I will take a deeper dive into the camera that didn't leave my side on this marketing campaign for New Orleans and Company as well as the team that made it possible for these shoots to be so good!

For a photoshoot so important I feel that as a photographer and director you need to listen more and shoot less: having a great team and artistically driven collaborators is the different between a good image and a great one.

The creative team at New Orleans and Company - Jeremy Cooker, Mandy Barton, Kim Priez, and Magan O'Hara were the driving force on conceptualizing these shoots. Some photographers don't like a big crew looking over your shoulder but I don't mind at all - I know my place in the great scheme of things and having talented cooks in the kitchen is valuable for proofing and ideas on the spot. Just let me stir!

Our featured talent were so professional and on board with any idea we had - they brought clothing options and accessories to help fill out all the scenes. Musicians Mark Braud and Robin Barnes were so professional and amazing to work with! The poses, the clothes, the style - all them!

Mark Hannibal is a local Art Director and friend who has taught me so much about new ways to look at a scene towards it's final realization. Aside from moving chairs, tables, and super heavy planters, Mark curated the tables, settings, and all details of the balcony shots.

Ingrid Anderson is a local makeup, hair and visual effect artist who I trust with all the faces I photograph. Her versatility and professionalism on set and in the studio is an added asset to all of my shoots. I never have to look and see what's happening or even check in..I know the final product will make the photography shine.

Jen Kennedy is a local Costume Designer that works in feature films, series, and commercials. She worked closely with the NO&CO team to ensue all talent had the right wardrobe and accessories for the shoot. Mandy Barton worked closely with Jen on styling each person for all shoots with talent.

Having this kind of team with me on these shoots allowed me to hyper focus on my backgrounds, camera settings, and creatively directing talent.

A big thank you to Lindsay Ross, Director of Sales and Marketing at Dickie Brennan and Co. for helping secure Tableau, and also Isabel Jacopin for her amazing Royal Street Balcony!
