a day that was so full of magic & joy that I’m still trying to figure out if it was something I had dreamt up, seen in a movie or actually happened. may these photographs not only be proof of its realness but may they also be evidence that life all on its own is art ♡

As I was putting this post together I found myself for a moment wishing I could just post all 1,400+ images from this day rather than only being able to select a handful.

Then I started thinking ‘wow that’s a lot of effing pictures for a single day spencer’ and then it kinda dawned on me that hell yea it’s a lot of effing pictures because it’s not everyday that you get married, it’s not everyday that all of your favorite & most cherished people are all in the same place at the same time.

Many of those 1,400+ photos aren’t the most ‘picture perfect’ but they all tell a mini story within the story of their day as a whole. There are micro moments, micro expressions, photographs with people they may not see again for a while, photographs with people they may never see again.

And now I’m actually glad I can’t post every single image from every wedding day because most of these moments are sacred to them & are photographs only for them, moments not everyone in the world necessarily needs to see. Photos that were taken solely for the sake of having a photograph to look back on.

The importance of wedding photography and really photography in general is infinite but I think photography at its highest importance has nothing to do with the photos being seen by the world, posted to social media or for our own art as a whole; it’s highest importance has to do with the people and love and feelings and the moments in time that we don’t want to fade away.

So take thousands of pictures, deliver thousands of pictures, never stop taking pictures. Because you’re going to want to remember this.

The Marincovs backyard wedding was one of those days where you could literally feel the love radiating off of each person in attendance. It was a day that no matter if we were slightly behind on the timeline, it didn’t feel rushed and looking back on it now, my memories really almost feel slow motion. I believe that stemmed from the intentional, truly in the moment energy Chaney & Tyler went into their wedding day with. It honestly wasn’t something we really discussed beforehand but I could feel it the moment I arrived.

My encouragement to every single one of my couples (or even if you’re not one of my couples and you’re just here for the vibes) is to set similar intentions for your own wedding. Set intentions to be present, to not get too wrapped up in every moment being ‘picture perfect’ but to BE so wrapped up in every single moment that when you are looking back at your photos it’s more of a “wait when/how tf did she take that?!?”

I want you to be so enthralled in experiencing your wedding day and being with all your favorite people, that the fact that there are beautiful images of every part of it, is just a HUGE added bonus 🤭😘🥰
