Taylor and Taylor’s wedding at Broussard’s had everything. A little rain, a lot of heat, and a ton of love. They took it all in stride and somehow made the night even better for it. Their people showed up big, the energy never dipped, and it ended up being one hell of a night.

Jackson and Caroline’s wedding at the Audubon Tea Room was a real real good one. Chill energy, great people, and a night that felt real from start to finish. Just an all-around solid celebration with some damn good moments.

Our Story

We are Ryan and Rachael Swanson – a husband-and-wife team of local photographers with a passion for love, life, and the visual medium. We were born and raised right here in New Orleans, LA. While we live just outside the city, (in the suburbs with our two cats), our passion takes us all over New Orleans, on our mission to help brides and grooms-to-be make unforgettable memories.

We believe in true love and the bond of marriage. That’s why we do what we love, we love what we do, and we do it well.

But – we’re not here to talk about us. We’re here to talk about you, and the relationship we want to build with you before picking up the camera.

As a married couple ourselves, we’ve been in your shoes. We know first-hand just how stressful it is to plan a wedding. Worrying about whether or not the photographer will do their job is just…unnecessary. With us, you can focus on getting all the other wedding vendors in line. We’ve been capturing weddings for years, working hard behind-the-scenes to capture the moments you can’t afford to miss.

Our diverse experience and industry knowledge speaks for itself. We care just as much about making your wedding special as you do. We invest our emotions and energy into each wedding we’re responsible for capturing. No forced or awkward angles. We’ll help you be yourself in a relaxed environment, using mostly natural lighting.

The most beautiful moments are the ones that are unscripted and raw. You’re marrying this person for who they are in real life, not for who they are on-camera. We have a very unique directing style, ‘letting s**t happen’ the way it’s supposed to. Think about it, once the dust has settled and your wedding album is in your hands, do you want to see a bunch of stiff, ‘planned’ photographs, or, a collection of irreplaceable moments that you can relive for lifetimes to come.

At the end of the day, you’re marrying the person you love. This isn’t an episode of Keeping up with the Kardasha-what’s. This is true love. True love deserves true class, and the right lighting, angles, and techniques to deliver memories you can cherish for generations.

Our promise to you is simple: To provide a wedding photography experience that’s just as unique as you. We photograph in a uniquely journalistic and timeless manner.
