There are some things in life I hope never become "too busy" for—an old-fashioned soda fountain, good conversation, and time spent with the people we love.

Last weekend, Cooper and I took a little trip to Griffith & Feil Soda Fountain, in Kenova, WV. We shared good food, sweet treats, and made a few memories along the way. These little adventures together are some of my favorite things. As an aunt, I know time has a way of moving much faster than we'd like. And I don't get to see him nearly enough.

My greatest hope is that Cooper remembers these moments—not because they were extravagant or perfectly planned, but because they were ours. The laughter, the stories, and the simple joy of spending time together are the things I hope stay tucked away in his heart for years to come.

A huge thank you to the wonderful folks at Griffith & Feil for welcoming us and allowing me to photograph inside your beautiful establishment. Your food was delicious, your service was exceptional, and your nostalgic soda fountain made the perfect backdrop for an afternoon well spent. Supporting places that preserve a little bit of history while creating new memories is something I will always love.

Here's to slowing down, making memories, and saying "yes" to one more scoop of ice cream. ❤️🍦

One of my favorite things about living in a small community is getting to watch these kids grow up. ⚽❤️

Several of the players in these images are my young neighbors, and I couldn't be more proud of them. These are also some of the same kids who are always willing to help me out when I have a new photography idea and need a model. They show up with smiles, enthusiasm, and usually a willingness to put up with whatever creative idea I've dreamed up that day!

What I love most is that these kids are almost always outside. They're playing soccer, riding bikes, running through the neighborhood, laughing with friends, and making memories. In a world where screens seem to grab so much of our attention, it's refreshing to see kids choosing fresh air, teamwork, and real-life adventures.

It was such a joy spending some time on the sidelines capturing these moments. The determination, excitement, teamwork, and pure fun remind us why youth sports are so important.

To the parents I'll be tagging in this post—don't worry, there are more images coming! 📸 I'll be sharing another post soon with additional favorites from the game.

Summer sessions always bring out the fun ideas… July 4th setups with all the red, white, and blue, messy little watermelon smiles, golden sunflower fields, barefoot adventures, and all the sunshine-filled memories in between.
But honestly? Sometimes the most beautiful images come from the simplest places. A quiet field of tall grass, an old barn standing proud in the background, a glowing sunset showing off, and a pair of jeans and a baby doll tee and catching the evening light just right. When this sweet girl's session was booked, she had one request—she wanted to include her Bible in some images.

I’ll be honest…it caught me off gurad. I have not had that request beofre. It hit me hard and filled me with such joy. In a world that moves fast and pulls in every direction, seeing a young woman so grounded in her faith in our Creator hit a little deeper than expected.

Of course I said yes—without hesitation. It was an honor to capture something that means so much to her, not just how she looks in this season, but what she stands on.

These are the moments that remind me why I love what I do.
