06/08/26 New Haven, CT - Engine 15 arrived reporting smoke showing from the fifth floor of a six story, high-rise, multiple dwelling. Rescue reported people on the balconies and unable to exit their apartment. They requested a second alarm forthwith. Engine 15 and Engine 9 teamed up and stretched from the standpipe to the fire apartment to get water on the fire. Simultaneously, dispatchers were receiving numerous calls from people unable to evacuate due to the heavy smoke condition. One occupant jumped from the balcony and was killed. Occupants were sheltered in place until the fire department could perform primary searches of the apartments and assist the occupants to safety. The cause of the fire is being investigated. Several civilians and one police officer were treated.

06/08/26 New Haven, CT - Engine 15 arrived reporting smoke showing from the fifth floor of a six story, high-rise, multiple dwelling. 06/06/26 New Haven, CT - While companies were in the midst of shift change, a box was transmitted for a private dwelling fire in the Fairhaven section of the city. Engine 10 arrived to find heavy fire out the windows on the first floor. The fire auto exposed to the third floor and attic. Multiple lines were stretched to all floors, companies were hampered by holes in the floor and compromised stairs. They were not able to overcome the fully involved attic. Members were pulled from the dwelling in favor of an exterior attack. The fire completely burnt away the roof before being brought under control. Eleven people were displaced as a result of the fire. No one was injured.

05/19/26 Hamden, CT - Companies arrived to find a two and half story dwelling with fire showing from the number on and two floors. Members had to contend with a severe exposure issue on the number four side as well as one civilian walking wounded outside. This prompted the transmission of a second alarm. Multiple lines were stretched to both floors to darken down the fire, but not before it had extended to the attic. Conditions rapidly deteriorated, forcing members to back out in favor of an exterior attack. A third alarm was then transmitted bring companies from New Haven, North Haven and Cheshire to the scene. The fire took about an hour to bring under control. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the fire marshal's office.

05/18/26 West Haven, CT - Firefighters arrived to find heavy fire showing from the first floor and rapidly extending to the second and third prompting a second alarm to be transmitted. Engine Company Twenty One dumped the monitor attempting to slow the progression of the fire while lines were being stretched. Companies were able to knock down the fire on the first floor. The fire had already gained a foot hold in the second and third floors. Conditions continue to worsen prompting the withdrawal of members from the building in favor of an exterior attack. Multiple handlines were stretched and operated as well as the tower. The bulk of the fire took about an hour to bring under control. One firefighter was injured when he partially fell through the floor. Multiple people were left homeless as a result. The cause of the fire is being investigated by the office of the fire marshal.
